Rescued in 1981 from the bottom of Ranworth Broad, the Norfolk Wherry 'MAUD' was restored to full working order. The restoration took eighteen years to complete. The 'MAUD' is one of only two 'trading wherries' sailing on the Norfolk Broads. In their time, the 'Black Sailed Traders' would transport all manner of goods around the area. From timber and road stone to agricultural produce and Norfolk Reed for thatching. As an associate member, you can sail aboard the 'MAUD' on the Norfolk Broads.
