I’m 66, I’ve grown up with The Beatles, I know every note of every song. The Analogues are simply the absolute best you won’t and can’t get better!! Er - subtitles please!
These guys are bloody incredible stark raving mad nutcases. I love 'em ! Their reconstruction of Revolution No. 9 ( and the accompanying film collage ) is bloody awesome. They deserve a medal.
The Beatles didn't last forever, but their music will... I'm glad the Analogues are here to recreate this music. "A splendid time is guaranteed for all..."
i watched the concert on here i so wish i had made to see it live what a brilliant re creation of a brilliant album , so much work but well worth it to see the finished result :)
This was a fabulous documentary, everything told to you step by step! It certainlya tremendous undertaking to pull something like this off to precision. And those rigs are amazing, big beautiful letters announcing their arrival! I cannot say enough about these guys! Bravo! 🎶👍💓🎶
I don't understand Dutch and unfortunately the subtitles are unavailable.... BUT it's The Analogues so it's well worth watching if only for the Mark Lewishon and Pattie Boyd interviews... Brilliant guys as usual.
Absolutely. Imagine how much money they invested (before they had their success) to get the real sound. Only a genuine (and rich) fan would do that. It's amazing.
Although I visited your beautiful country in 2019, I did not learn the language in the week I was there. Would sure love to see this with subtitles! Meanwhile hartelijk bedankt for your sharing your hard work and talent with us. Long live the Analogues!
Mark Lewisohn comments how some young people might discover the Beatles music through first hearing The Analogues. On my reckoning the Analogues will in turn be succeeeded by many tribute bands, maybe some as good as them, who will offer an entry point to the Beatles music for many years to come. Oh and noone in Liverpool will ever forget about them, so their legacy is indeed safe for centuries!
What an amazing accomplishment! Music that was never conceived to be played live - played LIVE! ...This is not a 'tribute' band that wants to capture 'Beatle-isms' - an echo of their look or their sound or their mannerisms. No, this is a group of professionals who want to 'honor' the effort put into these timeless albums - ALL the effort. The contribution of the engineers, the arrangements, the equipment, the supporting non-Beatle musicians. But most of all, the musical excellence that these 4 men from Liverpool gave the world through their creative minds and native talent. Listen to not just the Analogues White Album concert - but all the others they did and you will understand why this is not a 'tribute' band. If you love the Beatles' 'studio' period you will love it even more after hearing the Analogues.
I have a dream: that one day these guys will perform somewhere (that's filmed) and PAUL will come and take the lead vocal on something from 66-67 . These guys deserve that honour - Thank you guys for what you've done - when i was 12 you couldn't see the wallpaper in my room for all the Beatles photos.
My only criticism (if it is one) is that I'd love to hear these documentaries and films by The Analogues in English. I know they're Dutch, and it's probably easier for them to speak in their own language but there's 1000's of Analogues fans out there, myself included who would love to hear what they're talking about.

In over 11 months only 21 thousand views. Who made the decision to keep the band's commentary in Dutch without subtitles? The message is that the band's comments are irrelevant. Such a shame that we cannot share in the ideas and approach to live shows of their graphic designer.
@@branscombeR Thank you for your comment. Sorry it's taken so long to reply. When the video was posted there were no subtitles in English. You only have to read some of the other comments from over a year ago to realise this. The added subtitles are really helpful. Incidentally, I saw The Analogues at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall in August 2023 with the "Hello, Goodbye Tour". Fred the drummer was absent from the lineup. Packed house and great vibe. Brilliant sound and vocals.
Yes, George Martin was a genius. That is why he received, from the Queen, the honor of being knighted as Commander of the British Empire, thereby becoming Sir George Martin. He was a fully qualified orchestral conductor, and composer. He was familiar with every instrument in and orchestra, it's capabilities and it's limitations. At the time, as he became the Beatles recording manager it was aid, "Look how quickly the Beatles are progressing. There is no need to guess why. I am absolutely astonished the surviving Beatles have not paid homage to him publicly.
