Sent this song to my older brother as I do when I find a gem. We don't talk a lot but I love him. He died a couple weeks later from alcoholism... wish I had called him. He left a 14 and 16 year old boys. They lost their momma 3 years ago to same type issue their father had. Very regretful feelings of not talking to him much and then for some fucking weird reason I sent him this song. I love the darkness of the song but it became so real it's hard to listen to. Thanks for writing the music you do.

I have to say something about this live acoustic version is so much more powerful than the LP version... It's like I can taste the raw emotion, being able to watch his facial expression and body language helps I suppose. Both this and the album version are excellent, but I find myself listening to this version far more often!

One of my favorite singer songwriter. He's been through the ugly side of life which I totally lived.He has a dark and commanding spirit which encompasses all his music.

This song is hauntingly beautiful. First discovered it in 2016 going through some of the lowest points of my life, “thinking to myself, this is a place you’ll never leave”. Now it serves as a haunting reminder of where I was, and that I was able to leave. This song single-handedly got me through some dark times. Thank you.

I’d got a point where I’d almost given up, off my head on bed rest & meds. I just spent a joyous time dancing and moving from the waist up. And I didn’t feel sorrow or stuck- only the rhythm of life and a guitar and a voice - a million blessings for your songs, that gave me back some peace, and a few hours doing something of my choice. this is why God made humans. For the ones that can sing like this, for the ones that can express all the best and the worst that people can be. This voice is as beautiful and moving as a sunset or an ocean. Its more than him. He was blessed enough to have the gift of that voice and the mind state to perform the way he does. Its his responsibility to make this music. That must be a heavy weight on him. To have all that inside of you is like being strapped to a comet. Thank you for letting this out. How good of a writer this dude is ? it's like he creates a movie scene, I mean I am amazed, I only used to listen to one other song of his, THE whistler which has the same kind of quality of telling the story through amazing Metaphors and I don't know what else to say, I can only say there are some people out there that freak the fuck out of you with their art and therefore with their soles and this dude is one of them for me

I got turned on to this music by a dear friend of mine. He was told to listen to Come Join the Murder, he was not sure why at the time. Since then we have listened to all of his songs and cannot stop! I truly love his voice and his story telling songs. I often cry while listening because I can feel his music and he has the perfect voice for each and every song! Thank you for your amazing music! Sprung from the Abalone Alliance, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Brown, Peter Yarrow, Jesse Colin Young, and Graham Nash, performed, and also featured prominent political and civil leaders, such as Daniel Ellsburg, and other great minds It was also known as the "Stop Diablo Canyon" concert. Upon leaving this amazing event, not looking for anything, spotted an amazing purse. It was tooled leather of a full Sacred White Buffalo head. An amazing work of art. The woman who made it was Native American, explained that his name was Big Medicine and had been leader of the herd in Yosemite Valley, CA until 1957. After having it for most of my life, it was sadly stolen by someone who has no idea, nor cared, of its great significance and sentimental value of this amazing memory, history, and work of art. The name of your band caught my attention and I thought I'd share not only music history, but the great name to which you aspire. Thank you for the great music!

This is totally superb ,the Voice floors me every time i Hear this man.The Thing that is driving me "Insane " is the date 1983 ...whats its significance in the song ,very puzzling .I had a look at wiki and oddly found that a statue dedicated to the rare White buffalo and the importance to the Indian nations was finished in 1983 and now stands in a Location in Kansas .Could it be a homage to the Rare animal killed for its fur? as its his stage name..just intriguing
