I am going to die laughing if a week from now white chicken comes strolling back in the yard looking for a meal. I had a chicken like that that was the bane of my existence and would escape at any chance. When she finally up and disappeared on one of her escape missions I too assumed she was someone else's dinner. That was until 2 weeks later, when i guess she figured out fending for herself was not as much fun as she thought and just came home.... and yes when she disappeared she left a lot of feathers behind apparently to make me think she was dead.

My Uncle's mom had 3 hen houses of laying chickens. She kept 2 geese in each house that were raised in the houses with the chickens. She never had a chicken taken by a predator. Geese are very protective and fierce.

My dad has some chickens in his yard, and one was a really bossy barred Plymouth Rock hen, and she was suuuuuper bossy and controlling of the other chickens... And one day, I went out and she was dead, completely untouched by a predator or anything. Plus she was healthy just that night. It honestly looked like the other chickens got sick of her, lol
