Vera Lynn's classic World War II, song released in 1942. If you don't recognise the start it is because I have played the mostly unknown Verse to the song. To skip the verse go to 0.45secs
A very enjoyable rendition of the music for the song. the song and its music are classics from a age that only people in their seventies and older can remember.
Hi David One of the lines in the song "And Jimmy will go to sleep in his own little room again" is in my opinion one of the most moving of lines in any song I know. Great playing Best wishes Richard in York
This is beautiful... I really appreciate your talent. :-) Thanks so much for sharing. I first heard this song after watching the Statler Brothers sing it. Ever since then, it has definitely been a favorite with me!
Dear David, You play beautifully ! Perhaps you could do a rendition of 'We'll Meet Again' next? I've just turned 18, I picked this song up on a voyage with a shipload of World War II veterans who made a point of dancing and singing Vera Lynn's among others' tunes in the ship's lounges. Godspeed !
