Yes and no. Mr Deer was originally Nicholas Eilander, or the ruler of the lake. His rule didn’t last long though when he burned his son Jakob at the stake, making him mr owl. Jakob (mr owl) then gets revenge by murdering his entire family throughout rusty lake hotel. Skipping ahead a little now, on Paradox part two (SPOILERS AHEAD)…. In paradox part two, mr owl announces to Dale that he wants to make him, ruler of the lake. We can also see mr owl in his future form, where he actually becomes one of the doctors at the white door

@@averagecboyleverett7755 wait but wasn't William vanderboom the original Mr owl? He created the elixir and is Harvey's and Mr crow's (aldous) brother so it seemed pretty clear

I mean the eilanders did all live way before the vanderbooms from what I remember, but then I don't get how William's elixir linked the vanderbooms to the eilanders animal aliases/corrupted souls... I think I'm not explaining this right either lmao

@@ysko7 William vanderboom is not mr. owl. In the vanderboom story, William dies after consuming the elixir. When aldous drinks it, he becomes mr crow. William is later brought back to life as Laura. There are a bunch of theories of how the brothers found the elixir. One of the biggest ones we can see is that the Vanderboom secret hide out, may have been Caroline’s old study. In paradise we see her drawing in a cave quite a lot, which is very similar to the room we see in roots.

@@averagecboyleverett7755 yes I know, but it seemed so logical to me seeing that the alchemists brothers were all birds... William, aldous, Harvey. Idk if you remember the 1894 snow ball Easter egg from hotel? There's nothing proving Harvey is the third brother and not just a worker at the hotel but as we know aldous and William more than probably had a third brother, Harvey seemed to fit that role perfectly, so owl, crow, parrot
