Once a small shack, the larger portion of the house was added on after the White family grew. The barn is rock solid and will be renovated soon. It was built by a Mr. Love, with love of course. Enjoy the walkthrough.
This was a bigger house! I lived in an old house like this outside of Mayerthorpe AB and I remember how steep and narrow the stairs were. Looks like this house was the same :) Great tour ty :)
I don't know how it was in Canada, but in the U.S. pioneers often set up shanties on their free 160-acre claims, and then as they were able to prove-up the land, they either built a new home or added on to the shanty.
