Filmed at The Summit in Houston, Texas on 20 November 1975, this concert captures a typically incendiary live performance by The Who at the start of the US leg of their tour in support of "The Who By Numbers" album which had been released earlier that year.
The original video footage has been cleaned and the sound remixed by longtime Who collaborator Jon Astley but the show still retains a rawness that encapsulates the energy of The Who's performance. The set list stretches across the band's career from classic early singles such as "My Generation" and "Substitute" through an extensive "Tommy" section and up to tracks from the then newly released "By Numbers".

Oh yeah, cant stop the chills for sure! Hadnt heard this video till today.The mix is MUCH better than expected. Ive been listenin the 2015 LIVE video ALOT lately and get an eeery feeling when I toggle between 75 & 2015. Roger looks basically the SAME...Looks like he went down the street after shootin the 75 show, got a hair cut, then came back 40 min later, put sunglasses on and shot the 2015 video..LOL

Midge Johns yes they most certainly were,until about 1967.they've been a highest quality rock band on record and especially live ever since. the Jam were a mod band and continued it until they broke up. the mighty Who set trends in rock music.

+Cockney Red never see any rockers at a who concert only mods old and young - their film quadrophenia was about a mod not a rocker which was being written late 60s early 70s and released late 70s and is a cult mod film not a rockers film - they were originally an RnB band copying American music and the mods picked up on their music and still follow what's left of then to this day - even their name The Who is accompanied by the mod roundel target to this day so they definitely aren't rockers

I saw them in 1975 I don't remember where it was though😂 I remember me and the whole crowd singing "TEENAGE WASTELAND!!" and headbanging. I tried headbanging and i had the worst f*cking headache after 1 song😂 My 18 month old niece always smiles and dances around when I play her The Who. It's funne cause she falls over every time 😂😂

I first saw The Who in Nov. 1971 in Miami Beach, Fla. right after the Who's Next album came out. Seen them many times after that including the 1975-'76 U.S. Tour. Glad to see this fine vid. Like traveling back in a Time Machine! Thanks for posting!

I always thought when you ranked the 8 of them up, the sum made them 1-2. Keith-Bonham: 1-1. The Ox-JPJ: 1-2. Daltry-Plant: 1-1. Pete-Page: 2-1. I am not sure how my math works but I love them both and I love this song. Either way: best 2 drummer-bass-guitar-singer bands that I have ever seen.

Thank god they filmed him and Entwistle. I understand you should be filming the singer and guitarist mainly, but it’s good to give them a lot of time too. For example, when they played my generation at woodstock, John barley got filmed and didn’t even get filmed during his bass solo. Like, are you kidding me? This camera man is smart, however :).

@@MrBamcito Tanglewood is the bomb. I've been playing drums for 40 years and know my way around. Moon made no sense at Tanglewood, it was mental, and it is one of the best kit performances I've ever seen. Lunacy and talent combined. One of my drummer heroes right enough.

Despite losing two members...the Who are one of the few bands out there who STILL--even to this date--have not lost a single step. Daltrey and Townshend are FANTASTIC even in 2012. See them live. Now.
