The who have we blown everyone away through out all the years. Brain may recently said. Pete Townshend invented guitar playing. I know it's true. What other band did u ever see where your guitar is a weapon of destruction. Not no band in life. It's all in it for the who
Pete Townsend did an interview years later and he told the interviewer that they were drinking coffee but they didn't know that someone had put acid in the coffee 😆
George Harrison said that everybody did acid back then. The smart ones STOPPED. I spoke with Keith Richards. He told me me he hasn't touched heroin in over 50 years. His fans still want him to be the "heroin addict rock star". Without the fans (fanatics), us rock stars would cease to exist. "Let them believe what they want. I know the truth of the matter."
@@michaelcorreira8125So glad Keith was able to get himself sorted out, a total sweetheart of a man~treats his woman right. Can’t imagine what it’s like to live in a glass house & all the pressure that comes with…
Allora i Beatles, i Queen, i Pink Floyd, gli Scorpions, gli Eagles, gli Europe, i KISS, i Bee ges, i Black Sabbath, i Deep Purple, gli U2, Gli Iron Maiden, gli ACDC, GLI Uriap Heep, i King Crimson, i Vanilla Fudge gli Yes, The Cars, Status Quo e tanti altri cosa sono? Questi sono i migliori.
@@charliegglines3965 Your generation has the internet and you have access to all these videos and music for free. Enjoy it. We had to go out and buy the albums. there's a ton of great music online.
I'm now nearly 63 years old.....And I'im think about THE WHO, and MY GENERATION: Total IRRE (german language) !!!! Unforgetable!!!!!!!! Love "The Who" soooo much!!!!!
Love Roger Daltrey’s fringy suede jacket with no shirt, his voice, hair, what a great frontman…the epitome of a rock star! This is so very great, love the band!! All members were at the top of their game…Omg!!!! Wish I was older to experience them at Woodstock. First time I saw~tuned into the band was during the Tommy movie, huge crush on Roger. 💖
@@tilesetter1953 Yea baby! Roger Daltrey was a fabulous front man for the Who, he’s so darn handsome too. Well I do declare, do I detect just a “tad” bit of jealously here, that’s so sweet 😘.
The Beatles,The Rolling Stonesも聴くけど、やっぱり一番聴くのはThe Who。 DVDで映画「The Kids Are Alright」を見て以来全アルバム買っちゃうくらい彼らの虜になりました。 「年を取る前に、死にたいぜ」って歌ってるけど、Roger,Pete長生きしてくれよw
It couldn't have been more amazing if it were all planned - you have them jamming their best with the dawn breaking right behind them - This moment in history is mythic, whether Townshend likes it or not. Happy anniversary!
In few bands I was in ,we loved jamming on these tunes!!! Rocked the f out of them . Thank you Keith,John ,Pete,Rodger. Need to keep the music going these days . Big influence on us. God watch over Pete and Rodger. Keith and John be in God's heaven
@@ConglomerationCat it’s good she didn’t accept a drink from someone; seems a lot of that went on at the festival, spiked drinks. Don’t think I’ve seen her performance before; love her music.
SEMPLICEMENTE FANTASTICI..MI FATE VENIRE LA PELLE D'OCA...GIURO CHE AVREI VOLUTO ESSERE NATA PRIMA...ESSERCI STATA CONTEMPORANEAMENTE A VOI...GIURO CHE MALEDICO IL MONDO PER NON ESSERE ANDATA A WOODSTOCK... I MIGLIORI SEMPRE!!!
Pete Townshend was so tortured, and awesome. Listeed to his interview. Lot of dissappointed women. Gives behind blue eyes a new meaning as he explained. Still thin he is fantastic. 😊
@@monyavanderburg-hall Thank you for sharing; cool story and glad Pete sorted himself out. It does give ‘behind blue eyes’ a very different twist. He sure has some gorgeous blue eyes 😅
Acid, LSD, what the fuck are you all on about? The WHO ran on...PURE FUCKING ADRENALIN - the finest performance-enhancing drug ever discovered. Roger may have liked alcohol, Pete might have been into whatever, John may have liked a bit of Marching Powder, Keith Loved whatever he was given....but make no mistake...rock music lives off adrenalin! End of story!
More Woodstock, circa 1969. I'd sure like to know who was doing the filming: check 2:47-2:51~I thought I was going to stop breathing for a minute there! lol
Are you talking about Rogers penis?... besides Pete playing guitar, the only other thing you see for those 4 seconds is Rogers bulge... you naughty girl you!
hey about that guitar that Pete Townsend through to the audience in Woodstock.. A roadie went out there and retrieved it and gave it back to Pete Townsend if you want to know about that.. that was bad ass along with the whole band the Who playing My Generation..Off the Hook 🪝 Bad Ass..
It all seemed so loose and unrehearsed, then suddenly at 2:40 they just all stop to complete silence, and you realise it was all meticulously rehearsed.
we aged, had children and grandchildren. our hair got replaced with bald. we taught our kids to sing. BUT we were the best generation and sometimes my kids attest to that.

Isn't it interesting how all those British bands of the 60's were so heavily influenced by American R&B? The Who, Stones, Cream,, Stevie Winwood, all of them.
The British Bands, The Beatles, The Stones, The Who, Small Faces, Cream, Steve Winwood were all influenced by artists that the American Mainstream hated, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Fats, etc etc. The British bands took the black rock music and made it popular. Long live music. The Universal language!
Also if ya dig this song by The Who on youtube 😀 you may enjoy the song " Most of All " By Glenn Kaiser and Where Roses Grow Live by Rez Band Awesome songs check them out. I remember hearing the song by Led Zepp " In My Time of Dyin " during my drug years and made me think about death and Jesus. Then a hippy friend that dug Jesus told me more of Jesus love and forgiveness and how I could also know Jesus love. So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and also read the Gospel of John in the Bible or check out the movie on RU-vid. 😀
Robert Daltrey was obviously very uncomfortable from his unexpected acid trip (I can just understand that feeling) but he still put on an incredible show. I couldn't have done a good of a job having such a bad/uncomfortable trip on stage in front of so many people.
