I love this song. It paints such a great picture. A kid at a pinball table, disabled and playing like a champ. There’s a crowd around him staring in awe and cheering. And he just plays level after level, not ever stopping until he’s beat everybody.
When my son was 2, he would wear his wizard costume, hat and all. Grab a chair and play some pretty good pinball. We called him, The Pinball Wizard. :)
I heard this song long ago, but only now realized how great the rhythm guitar is. There is something that renders this song instantly recognizable from the first few bars.
The album was finished, but they found out one of the guys who was going to review it was a huge pinball fanatic, so the band hammered the song out. They didn't expect it to be as big of a hit as it became.
I'm sure he probably got his balls broke for dedicating a whole song to playing some pinball at first and then they I bet had their minds blown how huge it got
I remember playing for HOURS pinball (skipped first period in HS to do so!) and this song would come on!! The entire place went NUTS!! LOL Why the city let an Arcade store open a block from the HS, I have NO clue, but it sure made things so much more interesting!! My 1st class was English, I still passed with an A though I skipped more days than attended the class.
That's how jail is, it makes people feel like they are socially deaf, dumb and blind, so when they get out they forget about electronics, games, movies, Rimrock and Ratchets and concentrate on reality.... TRUCKS!
So I guess the song is a little different in the movie. There is the last bit the "I just handed my pinball crown to him" and there is more text in between.
Hi there, The pinball “control”….? As for acid trip ;you know ?! A great song !A season of my youth ! Thanks for the words ! I’m listening it on guitar at this moment !Good deal !! From deep south of France 🥖🍷🧀, 🖐😀🦊…pop…🍄⁉️
I thought it was "the digit counts his ball" and Bally table kid I also thought it was "Sohos down to Brighton" and that they were brands of pinball table.
"Bally" table is incorrect. The term is "Batting" table, but sung as "battin' table". The flippers are referred to as "bats"....as in the game of cricket.
No Jews. And noone in my family would do them kind of things to anyone especially our family.not your cross's.Gods the Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end....
