The likes of this boy needs therapy to be able to heal from the pain which if not handled may easily lead to depression and later suicide. Rejection is a major cause of suicide. They need to be psychoeducated on ways to cope after rejection and control their emotions which subsequently leads to their healing. Most of this couples are young adults. We can create support groups for them to also help them focus and go through life doing things more responsibly.
