For your potential wedding venue- look up Comrie Croft. It’s in Crieff, Perthshire. It’s a DIY wedding venue, you get it for the whole weekend and it includes booking out all the bunks and dorms in the farmhouse and Steading for all of your guests. It also has spots for vans on its campground, as well as tent options and even yurts. It’s a beautiful place!

Sad story about the Kinghouse deer... They congregate there as people feed em... 5 or 6 people died in accidents on the nearby road due to the deer, and they had to kill 20 deer as a result. 😢 That was in 2020 a member of staff at Kinghouse Hotel told me. I think they have to keep doing it to prevent further road accidents. So it's best not to feed the deer, for anyone reading this. Costs humans and deer their lives.

Dear Amiee and Craig. I know you are deep into Scotland, but when you were in Norway last winter, you inspired me to get out and get out of my comfort zone. So now my husband and I are headed to tour Norway in October 2024 for our 50th anniversary. Taking plane, train, and boat to travel the coast top to bottom. As someone else commented, I immediately got worried when you said ‘no surveys’. I think I would have walked away at that point. When we were looking for our first house we fell in love with a Victorian era terraced house. When we got the survey done there were so many potential issues that we decided not to buy. Crossing my fingers (and toes and everything) that it works out for you. You are both so full of inspiring plans, you deserve to succeed.

It’s a lot easier to see what you are getting in trad scottish wee croft houses tho, from experience of doing it. For a start you can see all the way around, the roof is easily accessible and walls are solid stone. So I can understand doing it more on the hoof, esp if you are going to knock it around anyway…

Is it a cash purchase then? Mortgage valuation survey would be a minimum. I’d be wanting a structural survey if someone said no surveys. You’ll want to be sure the roof structure is sound as a minimum.

Live in it for a bit before deciding on structural changes etc. Do the necessaries first and then see what you need and want. Remember - every project takes 3 times longer than you plan for and frequently costs twice what you plan. Write down the measurements of your spaces and maybe even graph it out prior to shopping. Things look much smaller in the stores than they do in the cottage. Can't wait to see ya'll arguing around the local second hand furniture stops.

Animal wise- as excited as I would be to have all that land for critters to run around, I’m glad guys are being responsible and not being impulsive with getting some. That being said, you guys should definitely look into plants that are pollinator and wildlife friendly to plant! You’ll get some gorgeous gardens out of it, lower effort and you’ll hopefully get lots of cool wildlife visitors!

I just don't really think about it because it's a waste of time/energy to do so since there's no way to know what's actually going on until (and IF) they tell us. I pray all is well with all 3 of them, and I know they're making the best choices for their family, as they should. Family over everything. 💗💗💗 The ppl who are basically demanding they let us know SOMETHING have poor boundaries and a loose understanding of reality, imo. Not talkin' about you, to be clear. A wig line! Omg so excited! Im currently working with a lady who coincidentally has met you Aimmee called "wigs and wellbeing" she works with celebrities and has started this trial for non wig wearers who are struggling with hair thinning and wants to show that wig wearing I so much more common than we think and that I'd you don't have the means synthetic wigs have come a long way and can sometimes be good as the real thing. She's hoping to improve my confidence my setting me up with two wigs and all the assessor's I'd ever need. As you may (or probably not HAHA ) know my mental health is bad and its done anything good for my hair especially because of drastic weight loss and medication etc . Can't wait to get my new girls hehe

I‘ve been looking at doing a Bike trip through the UK at some point in my life. But this seems like the most wonderful way to do it! I‘m not from Wales or the UK in general but Wales has a special place in my heart! It’s the place where i met friends from all over the world and it sparked my fuel to travel the world and meet the friends again that i met in Cardiff. It’s that place were i started to flip my life 180 degrees and start a career in archeology! It is also a starting point for my mental health healing journey. Top tip, put a bit of cold water in yiur coffee before adding hot, it stops the hot water scalding the granules and will make your coffee taste smoother 😊😊

The ‘no surveys’ might seem strange but In Scotland you get a ‘Home report’ that the sellers are legally obliged to provide and have to pay for-this usually would pick up any major faults.

Hi guys, I love your content and follow it with love. Don't worry about the process of purchasing the house, I had the same thing happen to me. I started the process for my house on the 28th of November last year and I just received the keys on the 29th of February and this was purchasing with cash. My seller was great, no searches were carried out but it was just the solicitors taking forever. You will get it eventually, just enjoy the process and use the time to plan what you want to do once you own the property.

The best thing about getting married in Scotland is that it’s legal to get married anywhere so you can literally get married in the middle of a field without having to go to a registry office later to do the legal part. There are so many big barns that you can get married in that would be perfect for your festival theme 🤵👰

Solicitors can be a pain. My friends were on the point of exchanging contracts when the buyers solicitor asked for the certificate for their boiler. Not their current one, mind, but the one before that! Why??

Please tell Gary to see his dentist. They can give him something topical to protect his teeth whilst he is having treatment. My husband didn't hear about it until after chemo and by then his teeth had started disintegrating.

3 things for the build 1. From trent and Allie remember "a hair out of square" 😂 isn't horrible 2. Ami you are looking for the words "old cottage home feel with modern helpings" 😂😂😂 3. I think it would be a GREAT idea for you guys to do a small but simple project together first. A build of some sort: smallest outbuilding reno, 1 room reno, chicken coop build. Something like that, that encompasses most building skills. Teach ami and learn what you can Craig then that way if you guys ever need to split up on projects or mentally one needs to take a break from one, you both have the same foundational knowledge
