Going from watching videos where people using super high-tech cnc machines and working in clean rooms talking about how high precision and careful everything needs to be when making injection molds, to then seeing this 1:11 right after had me chuckle a bit.

I wanna know how the runner is automatically separating without an additional plate. I’m a beginner in this and don’t understand it well. Can you please explain? I see no machining for gates as well.

No need for machining,when parts are ejecting out,the gate will be separate from part.

Hello, could you make a tutorial about how to desing a mold with detail? Because whenever i watch a video related with Mold, they just demonstrade us how to use mold features in solidworks. And as u know that is not enough to desing a mold.

Hi nice video perfect... i have some 3d model and want to put proper injection hole and line in the plate in the core plate how i know and sizes and lines there is any programmer to calculate it ? am doing 3d model and i have cnc machine to do my molding plates but i dont konw where and which way to do the best injection holes and ways to get proper product any ideas ??? i really appreciated

Is it now possible to machine an aluminum mold, then coat it with a substance to make the mold last longer. Thank you, great video, as Moni Poppaea Di Maria said. Do machining specs change if you use aluminum or steel, and types of plastics.

Aluminium moulds suffer greatly from damage, not enough core strength to resist deformation. Aluminium mould only good enough for prototype. Moulding shrinkage is dependent on the material. Semi crystalline materials have high shrinkage, while amorphous have very little. Maybe you should read a text book.

One mold without centering ring? Bad conception.

thanks for your comments,but it just show the molding process and mold without locating ring is not a problem for our technician.of course we will make locating ring for export molds

@@jackielau2076 ok, but the centering ring is mandatory for good alignement mold/machine. Bad alignement =nozzle crash.

@@serigfor1848 well if you manually move the mould to fit the nozzle and then tighten everything, then it isnt a problem. But i see the point and have seen the result (not pretty) I have been working alot like that, it all depend on the factory standards. When i worked at lego then they would not accept a mould without, but alot of other factorys work around it to save on the cost of the mold.
