The original line up of The Wiggles giving their last ever TV performance, and third-last ever performance, at the Woolworth's Carols in the Domain, in Sydney, 22.12.2012
Greg has such an iconic voice that no one can duplicate. Murray’s guitar playing was magical. Jeff’s sleeping was the cutest thing. And it’s only a matter of time until Anthony leaves. Eventually Captain Fenathersoard, these people are irreplaceable💔
I think they know they're irreplaceable, too, because they didn't seem to be going for straight replacements. Emma is a dancer with ballet training, and also knows Australian Sign Language. Lachy is the main singer of the group, and has a warm and kinda dorky personality. Simon can sing opera, and also cover the really low notes. He also came in with some experience as a lead, having been Ringo the Ringmaster for years prior to his promotion.
16 in 12 days here, female, I did too. Very sad to watch. (I don't mean to be a dick, so I apologise in advance, but it's spelled "bawled". Understand it, though. Monophonic words, huh?)
Honestly should be bittersweet anime endings. The younger kids will never know the original wiggles, like for instance the only yellow wiggles I know are Emma and Greg. But this is a new beginning now. So, bittersweet.
My oldest was born in 91, youngest in 02.. never heard of the wiggles til 2003.. never had cable or dvds til then.. my youngest loved the wiggles like my oldest loved barney and big bird..
This was the first and last time Greg performed with the Wiggles at the Domain. This was the last performance featuring the original line-up of the Wiggles and the first to feature the new line-up. The last performance of Greg, Murray, and Jeff. The first performance of Emma, Simon, and Lachy. Greg was 40, Murray was 52, Jeff was 59, Anthony was 49. Emma was 23, Simon was 40, Lachy was 27.
He didn't leave because he was one of the founding members. He had a degree in teaching children. When 2013 came along, he didn't feel like leaving yet. I still wonder if he will leave someday.
Honestly I think he just genuinely loves what he does and loves teaching and making kids happy. He'll retire someday but not until he has no choice lol just my opinion.
They forgot "can you point your fingers and do the twist" but still the wiggles are the best and my favorite wiggle was Anthony because he was funny and loved food
It would be nice if for the 30th anniversary next year they could get Sam and maybe even Phillip Wilcher to come back, but that will almost certainly not happen.
I used to watch The Original Wiggles from season 1 - 6 well I was born in 2005 they did re-runs of the past Wiggles seasons So I guess I got a little a bit of Greg and Sam era Still crazy to see Greg have gray hair almost when he came back He was only in his early 40s I think
@@kyrellmckaycomics I never got to be a part of the Greg era but I do I have 10 VCR tapes and 3 DVDS when Greg was 1st there then I have like another 10 with Sam
21 year old Aussie mum to a 15 month old, watching this made me cry, these are the anthems of my childhood ❤️ Even though I'm so happy that my bub gets to grow up with The Wiggles, Anthony, Greg, Jeff and Murray will always be the Wiggles I remember, thank you for giving us all your best 🤗
Ik some kids may have cried but if I was there and heard three good orginials wiggles were retiring I would have balled my eyes out. This brought tears to me. I prefer all the males, nothing against the girl but sadly the original guys were the best..
I watched The Wiggles a lot as a kid, so hearing that they left the group was like a part of my childhood gone. But least Anthony is still in the group
@@lachlanjon7932 I understand why the others did retired Jeffs over 60 now coming 70 Greg’s Heath wasn’t amazing and with Jeff and Merrey going he felt it was time to stop.
Amazing childhood memories right here with the originals. Know all the old songs by heart and I'm 23, I'll now be able to do the dances with my future kids. But they did their time, the new ones do a good job now with the new generation.
My oldest son is now 17 and grew up listening to these guys. In the good old days of watching video tapes or DVDs of the Wiggles. Rarely anyone had cell phones. It was such a nice time. May God bless these men and their families that provided innocent entertainment for years.
The new Wiggles except for Anthony will never beat Greg, Murray, and Jeff. I miss them as The Wiggles with Anthony! They will always be The Wiggles I know! Not the three new ones now. :(
I loved all of them. I miss them so much. Maybe they can come back for a bit in the future? Even if it's just for 1 song. I need to see them together again. The new wiggles will never be able to replace them ='(
I know this is so long ago but im tearing up... like legit these guys were my childhood and after watching these new wiggles with my niece i just cant see a percentage of what i saw growing up 😢😢
@@analisapena3086 you make an excellent point....we need them to do like a dbz fusion so we get Jeffony. Sleeps all day and eats when he isnt asleep....... Basically a college student
As much as i love the og Wiggles i think a lot of the hate towards the newer ones is unjustified, I'm sure the kids nowadays love the new ones just as much as we loved Greg, Jeff, Murray and Anthony
Old school preschool videos like this one I've been hearing a lot of people my age on these comments mean like why am I crying so hard I'm crying right now now I know why it seems to introduce the new Wiggles it was he was introducing the end of my childhood
It's been almost 10 years since Greg, Murray and Jeff retired where did the decade go 😳 Also if they didn't all cry and hug in their dressing room afterwards I would be disappointed lol
Me lmao 😂 this was my childhood and I miss them so much!! One day when they will make a reunion I want to see it!!🥺❤️ This made me cry when I saw it!!😭😭
Here in 2020 watching this and it straight just made me cry!!😭❤️ I grew up watching and listening to the wiggles!! This made my day tbh even though I cried!!🥺❤️
I am actually getting emotional. Recently I just figured out that there are new wiggles. I haven't watched them since I was probably 4. I lover them. They were something I would watch everyday. It really hurts that they are gone. I don't think I can live with a girl. It just isn't the same. I still love them and always will.
I watched them for as long as I can remember. My parents said when I was 1, I took the TV remote and changed it to the channel with the wiggles on it and watched them since. I was born in 2002 but still loved them. I was watching back through the old wiggles and realised how terrible the video quality was though haha
Madison seaha, I mean, yes I see your point. I could handle a female wiggle also. But, I loved the original wiggles I was born in '08, and watched them on playhouse Disney, but now they're gone. Today, here we are with the new modern wiggles today.
28Joanna28 My parents said all I watched when I was little was the wiggles (I’m a younger zoomer) and they have the songs imprinted in their brain permanently because I watched them so much.
This makes me so sad wtf :( I’m 16 and have been watching the original wiggles since i was 2, I went to put it on for my little siblings (who are four and two) and saw the new wiggles, was absolutely devastated ;( will miss you all, i appreciate all the years of entertainment
@@IamthePhantom Yes. And I agree with you. But: 1) Greg originally left in 2006 at 34 because he was sick, and even though he's better now, it's a lifelong chronic condition. Also, even though he's the youngest original member, he was 40. Was not worth the risk. 2) Murray knew that The Wiggles would cut into his own family, so he decided to run too. (Also, he was 52, but at the end of this month, he turns 60!) 3) Jeff had an accident on the road July 2011, at the wheel, nearly died, and was found to have an irregular heartbeat, and had to have a pacemaker shoved into him (figuratively). Also, he was 59, a few years shy of becoming an official elder (age 65), and at that age, you really need to think about slowing down and keeping the blood pressure to a minimum. Next month, he's 67. Yeah, he's OLD.
When I Heard that Greg, Murray and Jeff were Retiring my Mouth was Hanging Open and My Eyes Popped Big with Shockingness. Then I was Sad after I Heard about their Retirement.
I love the new wiggles Emma💛Lachy💜Simon❤️and Anthony💙too. The original wiggles were amazing and still appear on the show so it’s good to know the wiggles can go on for more years and bless more people with smiles and fun. One day they’ll retire and the honour will be passed again. What an awesome legacy!
I cry in front of this not in front heartbreaks... well this did break my heart so yeah.. this was my childhood... the new wiggles will never beat the originals wiggles... never i remember going at one of these shows when i was 5.. 😭😭
I’m literally crying like how I was crying watching their performance live on tv as a 12 year old. I was extremely into The Wiggles when I was very little and my body automatically reacted to all the dances. These guys were my childhood and that won’t change
I was sad when I heard that Murray Jeff and Greg were retiring I watched the original wiggles as a kid and wouldn't let anyone turn the channel or turn off the TV until they over
