As a kid I spent a summer with family in North Dakota. At first I felt out of place. A kid from the suburbs spending the summer on a farm. I ended up really enjoying it. Good food, nice people, low population and no rushing around.
@@bigscarysteve My husband's great-great grandmother and father on his mother's side were Blackfoot. Deadly enemies of the Sioux Nation. They would kill and wouldn't count coup to show bravery as the Sioux Nation did. His great-grandfather married an Irishman or Scotsman, we get mixed up of where the 2 fit in.
Adam, you need to come back through South Dakota, you would LOVE Custer State Park (the bison herds are amazing to drive through there!!) and The Needles. Sooooooo much to see and do here, a few series in this state alone. And congrats on 48!! WOO!! ;)
We are enjoying all of this…you are our after dinner relaxing TV! This episode made us reminisce about our trip to Tombstone AZ in 2018. We had to stop this episode several times to look up info on Wild Bill, Calamity Jane, bodega, and Mount Moriah cemetery. Thank you! ❤️
I’m hitting the road at the end of the week my friend I can’t wait. Love your videos. Your seeing a lot of cool places. Love this channel for years now. Thank you Adam my friend. 👍👍❤️
My mum is celebrating her 90th birthday tomorrow and before she married my dad her maiden name was. Doris Day. 😁. Not the real Doris Day of course but it's her claim to fame. 🤣. Like your videos Adam. Thank you.
Hubs and I were in Deadwood just a couple years ago and saw the parade for Days of '76...It was a very rainy day but we still had fun.... It is so cool seeing the same area we were in ..I love it
I've been to South Dakota twice in my life.. Here on RU-vid you can watch the annual buffalo roundups at Custer State Park in South Dakota. They take place in the Fall.. They give them all vet checks and cut some from the herds for purpose of sale. It's pretty interesting. Both trips originated in Indiana.
My nephew, attended the Sturgess Rally last year...always wanted to go, loved it...and, June 15th, 2022, was killed in a Motorcycle crash in Spokane, Wa. A 92 yr old driver took him out. My nephews wife was on her Motorcycle, right behind him😥❤
The Cosmos is also another great place to visit, Adam. Not too far from Rushmore. Last time we were in Deadwood, there was so much construction/traffic that it really wasn't much fun. So, it was nice to see your video.
Thank you for such a wonderful video. We were stationed at Ellsworth AFB just outside Rapid City '69-'74. I remember my parents and I going to Deadwood several times while there. The road leading up to the cemetery has changed though. It used to be longer and much steeper.....there was a sign at the beginning warning those that chose to drive up ran risk of transmissions problems due to degree of incline.
You finished it! I just assumed you had already visited all continental states. Anyway, I'm loving these recent vlogs. Reminds me of when I started watching you during the daily days and we never knew where you would be next.
I read a book last year on Wild Bill Hickok, it's by a guy name Tom that wrote the book, he's a professor at the Columbia university, it's good the true story of "Wild Bill". thanks Adam for sharing.👍👍😎
@@tberkoff lol, quick google search, perhaps -> "Wild Bill: The True Story of the American Frontier's First Gunfighter" by Tom Clavin ? Either way, this one looks like a good read too.
Ya'll need to watch the movie " Buffalo Girls " !! I don't know how much of it is true( probably not much). But, it's a great movie about Calamity Jane, mostly. I would love to visit there just to go to that cemetery.
My wife and I really liked Deadwood, we like the show. But we went way to early in the day. Nothing really cranks up until after 1pm. You have to go see the Crazy Horse monument. It is awesome.
Watch the Deadwood series it is excellent a lot of history references. I’m sure it added to the popularity of number of tourists. Thanks, definitely on my list now.
Lead/Deadwood gets a LOT of snow through the winter. Also, if you don't stop and visit the Adam's and Days of '76 museums in Deadwood then you really missed out ;)
Just imagine how few people have visited each of the lower 48 states. When TDW does his Alaskan Highway adventure (then flies to Honolulu from Anchorage), he can say I did all 50 before I was 50!
Another very interesting video. Congrats on the lower 48! You have to visit the 2 you are missing now. I would love to go to Alaska and Hawaii is awesome. Lives up to the hype (at least Maui does). Lookin forward to seeing the Woo in paradise videos!
Adam I think it might be good to consider flying over the pond and get some Europe on. You would go bonkers in Paris, London and Rome. My absolute favorites
Shall you. Yes I will join you because I was suppose to go there as well as Rapid City and Sioux Falls. My wife and daughter begged me to go to the Mall of America instead. I'll enjoy it thru you Adam.
Hey Adam if your still in the Rapid City SD area tomorrow on Thursday from 6-9pm in downtown Rapid City on the corner of 7th & St Joseph they will be having a block party. A live band & food and drinks will be provided. Go and check it out if your still in the area! Never mind as I see that you made it to North Dakota
If you don't get to Alaska and Hawaii I will have to watch some one else LOL 48 down 2 to go peace and love and may the Lord grant you safe travel and always be with you thank you for the great content on your chanel
Yay!! The Woo is in my part of the world (I right down the road in Rapid City! Moved here in 2019) Welcome to the Black Hills my friend! I love it here! From Custer State Park to all the rest!!! Tons of history here!! (Many a ghost towns). And yeah, we have casinos!! Giggle!! Anyways, wish I had been out and about (injury to foot keeping me out!!!) and seen ya, long time viewer.subscriber!! *waves* (oh yeah, many a haunted places here as well as ghost signs!! ;) )

Hehe modern wild west has a Starbucks :D Can you imagine if there was a Starbucks saloon back in the day lol. Id always be in there, well caffeinated, amused by the showdowns in town.
Adam, I remember watching your old videos when you used to run and then slide on the ground and tumble and fall. And now you're on a slight incline and you taking baby steps down. Getting old sucks I know. Lol
