I actually enjoy the shoe not being perfectly lined up (with the paint and all) it gives that realistic feeling of a shoe not being cut perfectly down the middle, especially when you get to the harder midsole and outsole
I appreciate you taking the time to make this video, I've seen so many people lately hating on this sneaker because they don't know anything about the story or understand what it means to people who actually rock with Nike SB before Travis started wearing them a couple years ago. As a collector of dunks, and that being the shoe that really got me into shoes, these mean a lot to me that Nike did something crazy like this and released it for us. Not going on foot, I do think it's a hard color to rock, but 100% going on display with my other dunk grails. 🙌
so excited that you made this video, I managed to get a pair for retail and I got the nike SB socks that came out with these as well. I do wear them and they are actually fairly comfortable, except the clear bits fog up and get condensation lmao
imagine a nike sb ebay sock thats the same colorway as the shoe , so when you put the shoes on , it would full in the clear cuts on the upper ... i dont know about the bottoms though lol
My buddy at the factory told me that they spent way too much money on the engineering to get the sneaker right which is why you didn’t see extra laces.
@@joeybaseball7352 it would’ve cost Nike closer to a dollar to include the 3x multicolor laces they were planning. They also destroyed the original insoles and replaced them with a different image of Sandy Bodecker, on top of the numerous issues they experienced trying to mold the cupsole. The originals included a picture of the Nike SB team. I actually have images of it, but I’m not allowed to share them. Nike is a public company with a bottom line, so I’m not surprised they tried to shave a dollar by eliminating extra laces. It’s also why they decided to manufacture 80,000 instead of the original 8000 they were intending.
You caring about what other people think is already worse than your opinion on this shoe. You’d be surprised on how nobody gives af about what you are wearing. Just saying 🤷🏾♂️
i really love this sneaker and would've loved to be able to get a pair to have it and keep it as a piece of art in my room, unfortunately SNKRS hasn't gave ma a pair in 3 years, no Santa this time :/
I like yhe uncut ebay dunks if they made a normal pair uncut I think it would sell for alot. Shit I wish I was dojng good financially back in the day 2015 chicago resell was 300 max. Purple lobsters were 350 resell. Freddy's dropped o. Ebay for 500 each I didn't even know now they are 35k plus
Jesus died for our sins so that we can go to heaven. He payed our price. Jesus didn’t come into the world to condemn the world but to save the world. Put your trust in Jesus Christ and he will grant you the gift of heaven. 💯
Nike literally hacked up a pair of shoes, "taped" them back together and slapped a $130 tag on 'em. That's when you know your customers will pay anything for "hype."
Jesus himself can emerge from the box when opening it, I still think this shoe is horrible cut up 😂... Just proves folks will buy anything nike related. Curious as to how this shoe will hold up in ten years. I can't imagine if this was any other brand, folks would want it. Also, Seth's word count for use of the word "Crazy": 5
The SB in Nike SB was never for skatebaording. It stands for Sandy Bodecker. He made Nike SB what it is today. Yes, in years past, people have associated the SB with skateboarding, but its origin is Sandy Bodecker. #themoreyouknow
No it's literally skateboard. Nike transformed the dunk into a skateboard shoe after they realized that skaters were using the dunk to skate in. Nike had been trying to break into the skate shoe market for a while by that time anyway. So they made a specialized version of the dunk for skaters, since they were already wearing the dunk. Sandy just happens to have the same initials. That's a coincidence.
I appreciate the story, but its definitely a pass. Even if they were made to look like the uncut original, it would still be a pass. Aside from the stupid cut up look, the patent leather color blocking is awful. I see these being nothing more than a novelty shelf piece.
I hate these. The worst part is when they were first shown everyone hated them but now cause "hype" people love them. They're an ugly shoe that will never give you a fire fit
I'm so Glad I didn't buy these I am trying to get shoes I don't like that are worth more resell to try a d get enough to get phantom travis. When raffles started for the dunks resell was over 550 if I would of won any if them by time I got the shoes resell was under 200 lile 159 now. They are so ugly. I mean yeezys are so ugly and everyone buys em but that's the yeezy effect. I wanna see how they'll sell without yeezy I. 2023
