I loved this episode and how Tom was just completely zoned out the whole time, and of course Bert getting some of the best most accurate advice he could ask for ......and completely not hearing any of it!!! If Stavy takes his own advice (and gets in better shape) his life was end far more fulfilled and happy than Tom or Bert could dream of. As he was trying to tell them, they are racing after a prize that does not exist, while ignoring the true gifts they already have!
Stavros fumbled Rachel Sennott because he wanted an open relationship. Him having a show where he gives callers relationship advice is a hilarious premise, second only to a show where he gives callers dietary advice
@@aminr4281its not that complex but its also not cool..... I should know bc I do the same thing! Lol loving the ep while also talking 💩 about Bert or Tom 🤣
I personally came here for stavros and a little bit of Tom. The thing about Bert is the low emotional intelligence, Stavros is trying to delicately lay down some of Bert's issues and Bert isn't willing to just take it in but just shift blame onto anything else, then tell about booze and then some more about himself.
They just need to “film” two or three episodes back to back with bret only and no one else, tell him these are gonna be the next big thing, then don’t post them. He’ll forget he did those immediately and just maybe he will get tired of talking for a few good guests.
There’s a reason that the greatest comics get the title of ‘philosopher’ thrown around with their names. Observation of the world around can tell you a lot, and both comics and philosophers make their living by communicating those observations. The only difference is the context, really.
I thought the same thing. I was like, “damn, look at Bert taking in some insightful interpersonal advice that would help foster a healthy psychological mind…oh never mind it went right over his head”.
Stav dishing out legit great life advice that I feel just went right over Bert's head. I don't think Bert has ever been alone with his thoughts for longer than 5 minutes. He has no idea what he wants out of life or even who he is.
Absolutely absurd take on Bert to say he doesn't know himself or what he wants out of life. It's hard for me to think of anyone who has more honestly embraced himself for all his strengths and flaws and absolutely succeeded at that, than Bert. The Bert hate is at insane levels right now if you think Bert doesn't know what he wants or how to get it. Bert lacks a lot of things but he's self-actualized as fuck.
I do really like Stav I’ve called onto his live show once really encouraging and gave me solid advice about aiming high and working on myself for me. The way he’s open, about who he is his struggles and weight have helped me become more comfortable with myself and helped me make good strides in my own weight loss, I’m down 30 lbs now, and his open and honesty was very encouraging
I like how Stavros was saying some important shit that Bert should’ve been listening to but I can tell he didn’t hear a single word he said because alcohol walked into the room.
I really like the format of having Bert and Tom with the guest together. It's definitely a move in a better direction after the months of solo episodes
Bert would beg his mom for a n64.. just to try and be the most privileged and popular kid on the block and tell everyone that he has one, just like Cartman from South Park would do 😂
Nah, Tom would just drag him down and try to turn him into a vapid sellout. Stav is doing just fine on his own and he even has a better understanding of Bert's issues than Tom. Stav masterfully called out Bert to his face without making it obvious and uncomfortable. I doubt Bert really appreciated or understood what Stav was trying to say though.
I was listening only and at 43:30 Stavy is therapizing Bart saying some deep shit and it sounded like he was having an “AH HA” moment but then i realized someone just brought him a drink and he was excited.
Darnell has been representing the Black Brother Coalition since his days on Chapelle's Show, and now we know why. Name of the book is "The Real Pepsi Challenge" for those interested.
I appreciate the 2 Bears episode with Jon Stewart more and more. Tom alone with a guest is so much better than having to listen to Bert speak over anyone. He is literally the worst.
Stav is a really smart guy once you hear him. He has some good views on life and you can tell he has been working on himself a lot lately. Good for him.
This is the best 2 Bears I've seen with Bert hands down. Everyone was hilarious. I've been tired of Bert the last few months, but you can tell he & Tom are listening & improving.
16:29 This is the episode where we found out how much of berts mental capacity is going to some kind of experience-associative autism relating to different types of alcoholic beverages. My man is going on skiing trips to get the right setting for his IPAs
It’s been an ongoing cyclical process, he was the 10,000 step bastard for a time during cumtown/ covid just the struggles of a Gree stallion / food addict
