What a sad story of what the reality of what it was like for Aboriginal people on the frontier, an all too familiar story across Australia. What a blessing to have him home again on country. What a blessing too that the nephews of McKenna made the trek and owned the actions of their family member and how they all can heal together. It's taken strength from both families in a big step forward. 🙏🏽

We are asked to vote to establish the true history of our fellow Australians who came before us. 50 Centuries of life in Australia. Do you have this heritage? Are we better than them? I love them, and I hope that you will gladly love them too.

The ABC 8s great at showing the issues aboriginals deal with and how its everyone's fault. That's fine, but be balanced. They rarely talk about issues such as the horrible sex crimes that are perpetuated against aboriginal women and children in their own communities.

Agree let's be balanced, and also talk about the horrible sex crimes that are perpetrated against Aboriginal women and children not only back in the day but that's continuing today by white men. Where do you think it was learnt from. Tribal lore dealt with that behaviour swiftly and harshly but under dominant mainstream law, it seems anything goes. Thank you ABC for the truth.

@@jalbu8330 You might need to produce a bit of evidence to support that claim.

It is self evident, but here is the most obvious and common. If an aboriginal is perceived, by the ABC, to be on the receiving end of anything that appears unfortunate, they ate described as being aboriginal, despite their ethnicity being incidental. On the other hand, if an aboriginal has perpetuated a crime or is Sen in a bad light, their ethnicity is, rightfully, concealed because it is irrelevant. You can't do for one, if not the other. How about their coverage of the recent referendum, where their bias was called and found to be so. So, the evidence is manifest.

There is shame all around, though it is the marginalised, the voiceless that bear the burden.
