The Wildwood Trust in Kent has been on my to-do list for a long time and l recently ticked it off.
After a quick breakfast by the sea (which is just a few minutes away) we arrived as it opened at 10:00 am and it didn't disappoint. The vast majority of it's animals and birds live, or have lived in the UK at some time and it was noticeable just how many have been persecuted (such as Beavers).
The video roll call is as follows:-
Wolf
Short-eared Owl
Wild Boar
Artic Fox
Stork
Chough
Blenny
Otter
Raven
Adder
Konic Horse
Wood Ants*
Bison
Crane
Reindeer
Little Owl
Brown Bear
Elk
Fallow Deer
Beaver
Honeybees
Brimstone Butterfly*
*Non-captive
I did see a lot more that I didn't get good enough footage of to use but this is a fairly good spread of the notables and the two things I didn't see that I'd liked to have done were the Wildcats and Lynx.

I did quite well recognising that line up. Didn't get the Konic horse, arctic fox and the crane. I was under the impression that the little owl was a non native. Could be wrong mind, it has been known. Looks a lovely spot!

We have wild Bore over here in the Wye Valley - they certainly turn the soil over. I'm not sure I agree with the bison or the wolf being there. I don't think there is any way they're ever going to roam free here. The beaver might have a place. Interesting. All the best. Mark

I think the MO of the place is current and former animals as l understand it. A Lynx reintroduction would probably help with deer numbers if it happened l guess.

@@theoutdoortraditionalist Lynx? Interesting to see them about the place. I imagine they'd go for the sheep too.
