I hope you all enjoyed this video and if you wish to see more breakdowns of other parts in the game, then please let me know! It was so fun listening to the soundtrack and hearing all the small details hidden within! As a side note, I apologize for taking so long to create this. My editing software really wasn't cooperating and kept crashing every couple of minutes, but hopefully that won't happen again in the future. Thanks for watching and I'll see you next time!
The buildup to the Wind Temple definitely blew the other dungeons out of the water. Starting in Rito Village, to the pre-dungeon, and all the way to the boss. And the Wind Waker references were just the icing on top, peak Zelda.
The developers definitely have a bias towards the Rito, haha! But it really is amazing how much thought was put into the Wind Temple. I like the other temples, especially the Water Temple because the music was really good in that one too, but the Wind Temple is just on a different level.
The Wind Temple was definitely one of my favorite parts of the entire game and it was super fun breaking it down! There's so much love that was put into this game, so I'll keep an eye out for other topics to discuss! :)
I remember your video about the light dragon... that one was epic. This one is as well. I'm a musician, and I don't notice these details when I'm playing. I'd like to know how you piece it all together. It's so subtle at times... and I'm also trying not to screw up.
@Zeldahol I remember your comment from the light dragon video, so thank you so much for sticking around all this time! It really means a lot to me. :) In terms of how I pick details out, it usually comes from me having the soundtrack on repeat for days, haha. But, I usually keep an eye out for repeating leitmotifs, since that's a big sign of songs being connected to each other. Then, I try to see how the motif is specifically played in each track, such as what instruments are used and what sort of emotion/message it's trying to send to the player. I also worry that I get some of my motifs wrong, so I double check by replaying other tracks to confirm that the motif is the same and, since you're a musician, you can try to replay the notes on an instrument as a way to really make sure! I hope this helps, and I don't want to yap your ears off, but if you have any more questions on the process, please let me know so I can help! I love breaking down video game music, so I'm glad to see that you also have a similar hobby!
