People are entitled to their own opinions, and cody is a brilliant singer. But people saying that kevin is nothing special, didn't deserve it, won't be successful etc. are just so butthurt. He was an amazing singer and absolutely deserved to win, it was either him or cody for me, and i am glad he won. P.S his single is already no.2 on itunes, thats a big middle finger to all you haters :)
Jolan was clearly the best SINGER here. No contest. Kevin was second but good. Cody doesn't rate. Character doesn't always make a good singer when she sounds like she is literally being stabbed to death every time she sings. Like she's on deaths door. The singing itself is terrible.
WELL. I think it's save to say, that Ricky knows what he is doing. He won last year and he had 2 singers in the last 4. And he won again this year and both of his singers were in the last two XD Also congrats to Kevin on the win. I loved both, Kevin and Jolan, they both did an amazing job :)
+ryboits75 I agree. I honestly lost interest going into lives. Chloe seemed interesting, but with her pulling out it really left little else to be interested in. Jolan actually got on my nerves quite a bit. He comes off as arrogant. Don't even get me started on how bad George's team was, or most of Will's team.
My second favourite won and my favourite came second so all in all not bad! For the first time ever I think all the final four could potentially have careers out of this

+unjaded2 Sadly, what started off as a "good thing" (new for the public) has become all-too predictable. Of course, there are two things going on here amid the hype and spin: (1) it's a business--and a definite money-maker (weekly fan-base), public entrance fees, including advertising fees, etc.; and (2) the "need" to continue the hype, portraying to young hopefuls (or come-backs) with the idea, "you can make it!" The music industry has some brilliant artists, no doubt, among those whose talent is trend-setting. But, cranking-out "winners' who are seldom-if-ever-seen again is beyond insulting to the average person. True artistry is recognizable; however, subjected to human fickleness, who are propagandized by the belief that "you too can become popular important. Just hit the 'Like' button now!" (LOL as they say). The blatant posturing of the "advertising machine" is like annoying gnats that incessantly buzz around your head. The US Voice seems to have more flair (and obviously more $$$), yet at times, it too, teeters on the edge of being drole and predictable. The "Lives" (currently) show the strain to which the "surviving" contestants are placed. However, predictability is what many "want" and seems acceptable. And, so, one we go...looking beyond...to next season :-P
To me Cody could be the first real winner even despite her vocal imperfection and that she is a bit inexperienced. Of course, she is young, her appearance is not the image we used to see, but her unicity and smokie voice made me say "Wow!" all the time. The duet with Boy intended to strenghen the audience love to Cody but didn't match to its original purpose. Maybe that's why she didn't win. The second winner for me was Jolan. I loved him improving in the whole seson. Good song choice coupled with stunning performance, style and innate modesty while performing are the things that me and a lot of people to be fascinated with. Kevin is a great guy. In some way he is hot and sexy, in some way he is modest, we have to admit he has a great voice and his "Stay" version was amazing, but my concern is that he had already had his chance to become popular. This season was the second chance for him, let it be, but whilst his winning in this competition is inequitable towards young contestans such as Cody, Heather, Jolan. He had his fan base and consequently Ricky's fan base, he had his appearance and background that favored him. Maybe the "Winner" title was dedicated to him as a sign that this is the second and the last chance to make his dream come through (you never sign contracts with famous label each day). The only wish i have is all contestants, at least Heather, Cody and Jolan, continue singing, performing and keeping in touch with the audience. They have all chances to become popular even without a contract. Anyway, i liked this season much more than previous ones and to sum up, it was the best season so far. I like the mix of coaches, their jokes, intense moments, liked and disliked their choices (Paloma could be the first female winner in case she stayed with him) and i appreciate that this season was full of extremely talented young people! The sad fact - the Voice on BBC is over :( I'll miss Ema and Marv, i'll miss coaches.
+JoannahMason Yeah, one just has to take a look at all the comments supporting Cody here. I cannot vote (am abroad), but seeing all the comments supportive of Cody, both before and after (here), how could she not have won?? Something feels very very wrong.
+MetteC5 I know it's insane, her voice was so unique and was like nothing I've seen in the industry so you'd think people would want to hear more from her, also I feel like Kevin's voice is fairly generic in the industry so we need something new like Cody in our music, right? I was routing for Cody and Lydia but no, it was Kevin and some other guy.

TheGeoVlog That was also my (and I think everyone's) estimate; however, I saw many comments here on RU-vid saying that they did indeed vote for her - hence my first comment in this thread: something feels very very wrong
Shame on Ricky is that all that you can say about Jolan flawless it means nothing here.The boy sang it's heart out .For me they are both winners.But a liitle more comment where great for Jolan.
+Marcella Joos he was ina pretty bad spot there, whatever he d say could be used against him . The one whose comments were really weak was acutally Will. Ricky was having a rough night with so many performances and so much responsibility so I can t blame him for not finding the right and pollitically correct words in the moment :)
+Kunoichi4ever4 I know Ricky had a lot to do.But that he can say nothing because Kevin was listening that's what my disturb.Jolan has to listen what he said about Kevin .Not correct and this is what Ricky before he say flawless.Not a hard word for Kevin.That's the last thing I would say about this.
All 4 of the finalists this year would make great winner but I really hoped it would have been one of the others three (Jolan because he is awesome, Cody is so unique and Lydia the dark horse of season 5). Personally I think Kevin is too similar to Stevie - last year winner. But congratulations nonetheless !
Struggled making it for many years apart from being in the background of a manufactured pop act, has no confidence or star quality, and only won against a bunch of amateurs. Congrats Liberty X guy.
I am glad this show has ended even though I used to be a huge fan of it. Its been so shit for the past few years and hopefully ITV don't make it worse.
I don't like Kevin's voice. It's monotonous. I'd even say, his performances were emotionless - as if he wasn't sure if he's making any expressions or is a pop-singer, who make a sound and this sound is sampled, then used. Sure, when he's screaming, his singing may have some features of power. I find the ogher guy's - Jerome's - voice much more interesting and entertaining. But none of them is as unique as Cody's... That's not all - besides of having much more interesting voice, which itself is an impact to entertain, I think she is much better vocalist. It's hard as hell to control her voice - and she did it, she's a virtuoso. Besides of that, Cody made new quality of known songs. Compare originals to her interpretations. Not only her voice is unique, but also the way she sing, it's her own style. So, having a choice between 1 guy with enjoyable voice, 1 guy with nice backstory and let's say, good voice, kinda powerfull performances, and a girl with one of a kind Voice and own style, I'm 100% sure next year I won't even remember these 2 egsist. I will only remember Cody. And people who say Cody is "a shit" [sorry, I just scrolled comments]... shame on you. You don't get what is style, what does it mean to control such an amaizing voice and what quality she brought to this show - by lirycs and interpretation, you should at least respect her artism as something you can't understand and use diffrent words to say what you think about her.
Very true. U.K. Is obsessed with boring unforgettable white men they even win all the time on Xfactor and soon become nobodies once again. Absolutely no career progression.
Doesn't matter if he's forgotten or doesn't get anything from the voice, I still remember him from years ago when he was in Liberty X and I'm sure others do too. Everyone will still know who he is. Thought Cody was going to win but glad Kevin did too. It was a close call this year!

Knew it from the start and how silly Paloma let him go but he should have been team Ricky from the start anyway Ricky is a smart man and has a good sense for picking amazing artists well done Ricky and congrats to Kevin he moved me each time he sang ❤️❤️
Glad he won! Now Lydia, Cody and Jolan can go and have great careers because they are not stuck with the TERRIBLE contract that The Voice has to offer :)
I love both these guys, they were already brillinat, but I must give props to Ricky that he made the impossible possible and made them shine even brighter... And to all the bitter Cody fans, stop disliking the vid , Kevin won fair and square and you are disrespecting his hard work ... I dont find Cody that great, but if she won I d never not congratulate her coz anyone of those 4 was talented enough and worked hard to win.
I agree, it is not fair to put somebody else's achievements down just because you don't like the outcome. These contestants all have talent and should all do well in the future.

Gustavo Gonzalez the main message was directed towards bitter fans, I picked out bitter Cody fans just coz I ve seen them the most everywhere being pretty vocal. And for me personally t.e Cody never gave a better performance then her first, not even close...so I understand your reasoning, I personally was and will be a biggest Jolan fan especially coz he just bloomed on this show...but at the end of the day Kevin is in no means an unworthy winner and I d be kinda hurt in his place if I d look at this vid...that s why I ve spoken up...coz we shoudnt try toturn something so great for a person into a game of - who deserves what more.
Kevin has a great voice, though I would argue he's never beaten that first performance at the blinds. Jolan continued to grow, and I can't wait to see what they both do in the future.
Boy Georges performance where Cody sang backup is what cost her. Not her fault of course, she's an amazing singer and I know she'll succeed in the industry if she sticks with it... So talented and UNIQUE. She deserved the win but was robbed by her coach. Anyway. Props to Kevin for not giving up bit I'm beyond sad she didn't win the when she deserved it.
+Kate Ingram Absolutely. I did hear someone say she had a cold and he was covering for her, but that's unconfirmed and I don't see how that's possible seeing that she sang so beautifully in her solo.
+PBP Ricky es el mejor coach que ha tenido The Voice UK, asi que por mi no hay problema en que el halla ganado otra vez, sin embargo, el debio haber ganado con JOLAN, no con Kevin
+Gustavo Gonzalez Las normas de The Voice UK me parecen injustas con respecto a otras versiones de The Voice a nivel mundial. En The Voice UK acaba ocurriendo que el titulo de campeón se disputa entre 2 participantes del mismo equipo quitando emoción a la resolución. En otras versiones disputan el titulo 1 participante de cada equipo y entonces todos tienen el 25% de chances de ganar al mismo tiempo. Acá no, acá se toma en cuenta los más votados independientemente de si son o no del mismo equipo. No discuto la calidad de coach de Ricky, por algo históricamente los que audicionan se mueren por estar en su equipo. Solo pienso que habría que darle una vuelta de tuerca al formato porque al fin y al cabo quienes tienen prioridad deben ser los participantes, no los coachs. Por último decir que después de tantas versiones de The Voice que vi a nivel mundial la de Gran Bretaña me parece la mejor lejos en cuanto a producción y calidad vocal. Por eso la sigo desde un tiempo a esta parte con ansias todos los años. Saludos.
When the others contestant sing and perform, I smile, but when Cody sing and perform, my smile become more bigger, I like Cody, she's cool and 1 of the kind :)
everyone calm it some people sre being nice but I've seen I few comments saying CODY WAS THE REAL WINNER implying it wasn't him some people are saying for me and I respect that so please just be nice and calm down
Cody was always my favourite but she wasn't as consistent and moving as Kevin. He delivered every time. His experience is obvious. Someone has to lose, I guess, but I think enough people like Cody that she'll get something out of this. At least I hope she does! I want to hear more of her!
this is wrong why a failed guy giving a chance again... Let the talent of today get a chance not from the past!!!!! Cody was far the best. Young and not a KTV performer.
wow people are so angry. it's just a song competition. some winners don't go anywhere, some runners up become famous. they just needed chance, they got it. some even have a proper fanbase now)
