When a cold blooded killer that you know ties up loose ends gives you specific instructions……you follow them to the letter and you don’t do anything that makes you a loose end. Kevin should have NEVER involved a non-player/outsider like Randy. A middle school kid that isn’t involved in the game isn’t going to keep his mouth shut. The moment Randy told anyone, even his own friends that big Kevin told him to someone else around the way to get bushwhacked and that became rumor on the street….big Kevin was a dead man.
Little Kevin's death came from not specifically following a direct order from a higher up. Bodie's counsel for Little Kevin to tell Marlo personally was solid. Little Kevin involving Randy was the problem and then telling Randy what happened to Lex. Although he tried to keep distance between himself & Lex, his failure to directly set Lex up led to his demise.
You made some valid points man. Good video and perspectives. What got Little Kevin killed was that he didn’t do what he was told. Bodie was a great character that showed how loyalty in that game means absolutely nothing.
He literally told Chris Partlow he disobeyed an order m and put the task in the hands of snitchin randy a kid nonetheless. He was a dead man when he told Chris that.☠️Thanks for watchin boss.
Bodie didn’t know the real story, so when you look at it from his perspective his advice was good. Had he known all the details he woulda told Kev to dip and never come back
Yup he didnt know kev was suppossed to do something he didnt and kev was lying to bodie and poot on the corner when he was saying he didnt know why the police brought him in. If he tells Bodie that, maybe Bodie gives him different advice. Thanks for watching.
Bodie did have a well defined sense of right and wrong, within the context of the game. For you and me, it was horrible to see him shoot Wallace, however, within the context of the game… Death is the penalty for snitching. I working with McNulty and revealing secrets about Marlo Stanfield, it was OK, because Marlo was not playing by the rules of the game at all. Bodie said it best… He was killing people just because he can. I think Bodie stuck to his moral code.
My theory is that Slim knew Bodie's brother before he passed and so he was looking out for Bodie. Or alternatively, he saw a younger version of himself in Bodie and was trying to give Bodie a wider view of the game. I believe if Bodie found out that Kevin used Randy to set up Lex, he would have been okay with Kevin dying because he violated in rules.
Saddest death by far on the Wire, true what u say tho, if Bodie had become a snitch it woulda tainted his whole legacy n nobody wanted to see that. Better he went out guns blazin, he died like he lived, a soldier! “Hell yeeeaah”. Awesome content my man, props from the UK :)
No, Bodies problem started when Lex brought attention to the corner by killing fruit. It was then that Marlo heard of them, and then when Marlo decided to take over the corner
Lex is the reason why Bodie is dead. Everything would’ve been fine for the most part if Lex had left Fruit alone but nope he killed him and he put the whole crew on Marlo’s radar. After that, Bodie was screwed regardless. He had already put in the work to get that corner so there ain’t no point in just giving it up. He had to side with Marlo or he was gonna die even sooner. Then the whole Little Kevin situation was just silly. It seems like besides Bodie and Poot, everyone on that corner that worked with Bodie were really slow and didn’t learn anything from Bodie. Hence, Bodie telling Lex to not go after Fruit but he does it anyways. His crew was just dumb
In my opinion, Bodie should have taken Slim Charles' advice after his encounter with Marlo, and maybe he would have teamed up with Slim and join the boys in East Baltimore, and those under Bodie would have followed him. Bodie would have also had the opportunity to get revenge for Lil Kev by killing Marlo in retaliation. But knowing Bodie having pride being from West Baltimore, that wasn't going to happen. Or maybe I'm just imagining it. His death was also unnecessary to me. He could have retreated and fought another day if he had remember the advice he got from Stringer Bell. "You gotta show some Flex!" P.S. Slim Charles is so underrated in this show. Definitely one of my favorite characters!
The scene suits his character very well. Thank you for watching man and enjoy finishing up the show… let me know when you finish and what you thought🤘🏾🤘🏾Have a great day!
Bodie wasn't going to the other side. No different than Stringer, Bodie got his dope off of Prop but didn't work for him he worked for him self. That's why when Marlo step to, he knew Bodie was without Goons. Chris made sure Bodie honored the move, For sure.
Side note poot should not have ran it was the same set up that wee bae tried when poor ran they came from the back only in that one Omar was waiting on stinkem
Yeah Poot was smart. Bodie should have listened to him more, eapecially when it came to working for marlo compared to working for avon or stringer. Thanks for watching man
Yo, your getting Slim Charles mistaken for someone else. Slim Charles is hired Muscle. No A general not Captain, hired Muscle. So his only advice is to talk to Marlo as a man a see can he get rank in the Stanfield organization. See Man, The streets speak a different language there no fair or maybe, and never no dreams. Out there on a cold night in December Just rained your wet, he got a drug pack you had all day and money is due. Out there know what hit you Like everything I texted, REALITY!!!
Yeah it was O-Dog from Marlos crew.. The guy who suggested the drive by shooting with snoop, the guy who got shot in the leg by omar when he jumped outta the balcony. Thanks for watching boss
As bad as Bodie felt about the death of Little Kevin, I do not believe he was the cause of Little Kevin being killed. I really wish Bodie knew that he wasn't. I know Kevin was his friend and he felt guilty for making the suggestion of letting Marlo know why he'd been absent for a while. Bodie was simply trying to look out for Kevin by telling him to check in with Marlo. However, I believe Little Kevin sealed his own fate by way of a big mouth and lazy work ethic. Kevin had one job. ONE. Tell Lex to meet Patrice at the park that night. But what did Little Kevin do? He decides that telling an innocent unknowing party (Randy) to deliver criminalistic instruction to Lex instead of telling Lex the information himself as he thought it was clever to "put some distance between" himself and Lex. Little Kevin's lazy behind should have known better than to sloppily involve an outside source in the commision of a potential hit ordered by Marlo Stanfield. Chris told Little Kevin that it was HIS JOB to carry that message through, NOT RANDY'S!!! Such a flimsy technique only caused an enormous ripple effect that made a huge contribution of unnecessary mental chaos and humiliation for Randy because he's now been exposed as a snitch, not to mention, also being the cause of total disater and serious injury to Randy's foster mother. Unnecessary upset and loss of his foster mother has landed the boy right back in danger of a terribly run group home. Add all that together and understand how I feel bad for everybody but cannot in any way feel sorry for the death of Little Kevin. Said all that to say, in my mind, none of this should've been put on Bodie or Randy, just Little Kevin and his sluggish behavior. He unawarely set himself up to be disposed of. He got what he got.
Kevin had multiple chances to better his situation, if he told bodie the truth about everything going on instead of lying to him after he got out of jail maybe Bodie gives hom different advice? Thanks for watching
@@loudnclearvoiceovers4141 like I said whatever is in the script is what happens do you honestly think that a clown like Omar with a couple losers could take on multi multi million-dollar drug kingpins and get away with it it's just a show
@@loudnclearvoiceovers4141 that's why I ski and played golf so I don't have to come across the Chris partlow of the world what what a crappy predicament those people are in horrible watching that show makes me feel very fortunate it also shows you that much cops aren't worth crap either there are very few good people in the world
Little Kevin got himself killed for not following instructions. Also Bodie gave him good advice it's just when he gave the job to randy to get his homey killed that ended him. Bodie got killed because Marlo punked him to many times and if he ran 🏃♂️ off that corner to fight another day Chris and Snoop would have found him Chris would have been setting up on him and poot. Yes he should have listened to Slim Charles but, Bodie was too stubborn to hear anything so he had to go
By no means am I condoning snitching by someone in the game, which Bodie was through and through. That being said, once he chose to cross that line he had no business playing the block. He should have made his mind up and stood on it but instead he died in the middle. Have to choose a side, can't have it both ways.
