In Poland, Kraków there is a place named "Wilczy Dół". It is a medieval themed tavern, where witcher music plays. You can play gwent with friends, the inkeepers walk around, and the prices are listed in 2 currencies, Polish Złoty, and Ducats. 1 Ducat is 2,5 Zł. You can buy ducats or you can just pay with Polish Złoty. You can win ducats too. And the most popular thing - potions. You can buy ingredients for potions, and make them. There is a wide choice in food, and potions, drinks etc. It's a really fun place there are old wooden barrels everywhere, stone walls, everything is medieval themed.
The bards college should be burned down and all the bards should be atleast sentenced to death. The empire sure tries to execute innocent dragonborns, and meanwhile the real criminals, the bards are killing and raping peoples ears!
This game is the greatest gaming experience I've have ever had. Truly memorable moments all the time, incredibly well written adult dialogue, memorable characters and great character development, incredible world that LIVES and of course the masterpiece - soundtrack.
100% agree! Oh those story lines are so emotive, I had a lump in my throat the size of a golf ball on the mission in Valen for the Baron's baby. Oh my gosh that writing! I love that game so much and the books that came first are amazing too.
@@clairesimons3026 exactly... that quest with the bloody baron's child (botchling)- Dea - omg... one of the creepiest moments in my gaming history ever

So much better than the dreary performances of Ragnar the Red or Age of Opression in Skyrim. All the taverns in Skyrim feel so dead, with just one guy singing, even though he's not that into it and occasionally giving a drum a few half-hearted taps. I wanted lively viking alehouses with a roaring fire and raucous song!
They are very similar and in the same genre though. Both are fantastical games, based off of mythology across different cultures. Both of them have a human empire, both of them have dragons, elves, dwarves and vampires. To say that they are too different to compare isn't a good argument. I appreciate both in their own way, but I will say that The Witcher 3 overall is better.
dman19851996 but the gameplay itself is so different. Skyrim is exploration based where the individual player makes his/her own stories. I still have fond memories of adventures in skyrim that cannot be replicated. [Finding a book and a week later finding the artifacts the book mentioned. Exploring the unknown and getting lost in the mountains, then getting ambushed by draugr in the snow, finding a centurion's camp, and finally finding an old buried tunnel system for shelter, unbeknownst to me that it contained vampires. (That particular expedition took me like 3 hours!)]These things are all stories only Bethesda games offer. Then there's the witcher 3, a narrative master piece with amazing quest design and beautifully crafted worlds. Witcher is about amazing narratives, from the main quest to side quests. Skyrim is about personal journeys in a world rich with content, seemingly never ending. You can't compare them. Their greatest features are so utterly different that it's stupid to try.
Raistlin I disagree. When I first heard of skyrim I was fairly new to gaming. My friend introduced it to me and I fell in love with it almost instantly. It had nothing to do with Bethesda. I didn't even know what Bethesda was. Let me put it this way: if you have an imagination, you'll love skyrim. These adventures I remember in the game weren't very special in reality. I explored some mountains, fought some nordic zombies, and made my way through a vampire dungeon. But as a preteen with an overly imaginative mind these adventures became special. I wasn't just walking through mountains, I was stranded in the middle of nowhere fighting for my life! It wasn't just snowing, it was a snowstorm and if I didn't find shelter I'd die! These aren't just draugr, they're ancient nords sacrificed to the dragons! You get what I mean? It's such a good game not for the actual gameplay or quest design, but because of the world it offers to gamers. Honestly, I don't think Bethesda should be praised. They didn't do anything special. But they gave us the platform to make our own special adventures. I'm not trying to sound pretentious or anything. I'm not saying that my imagination is great. All I'm saying is that skyrim is only as great as you make it. So, yes, in terms of game design I wholeheartedly agree with you. The Witcher 3 is leages ahead of skyrim in terms of it's actual content. The talent of CDPR is much greater than that of Bethesda. But skyrim offers something just as great as TW3. It's like comparing a book to Dungeons and Dragons. A book requires more talent to make, but D and D is still loved by many because of it's inherent nature. That is, it allows one's dreams and fantasies to be "real".
"Tavern Music 1" was the first of these tracks that I've heard in-game. After fleeing the gloom of velen I was greeted in Novigrad's streets with this enchanting piece of music. I remember standing there for literally 5 min straight not wanting to leave.
@@krismccuen6157 Hi, me too! Been trying to find this soundtrack everywhere! It's my favourite soundtrack so imagine my heartbreak when it's titled "Tavern Music 1". Did you ever manage to find the name of the artist?
@@icata12345 I'm not sure which exact song he is referring to, but I remember 28:41 being in there as well, for me the best scene in the wedding by far. Don't wanna spoil anything though =)
Damn I can allmost see a big old style party with lots of traditional dancing, drinking bear, card playing, laughing and a whole place of poor happy people enjoing the great moment. It's so good. Thanks for this.
@@oncheatos5215 I rather think there's a bear who drinks, like the famous Wojtek of the Polish army. That would be just fitting, given that Witcher is Polish. Dang, I also want to go to a party with a drinking bear. And a maiden fair.
Heeey I just saw your comment from 2 years ago and you're coming back to this video just 1 year ago to make THIS comment and I see more replies from you around 1 month ago, HOW DID YOU NEVER HEAR THE MAN GOING "AH" around 23:05?! lMAO, just turn your speakers or headphones up really loud, the man isn't really screaming "AH" he's just like grunting lightly.
I've never played The Witcher 3, but it's my mom's favourite game as of lately.. She has over 130 hours on it. She plays gwent regularly, and because of it, I always have A Story You Won't Believe stuck in my head.
When plot points were coming together in Novigrad and this music was playing in the background was the most amazing feeling I've ever had in a video game.
I have never seen such effort and care from the developers put into a game. I feel, no CDPR is just the only "Customer & quality first" game making company these days. Honestly this is the only game i would listen to the beautifull music and look around me. For me the respect of the people you help is reward enough. Every character has a unique persona. Intresting and fun. I will never play a game like The Witcher 3 in my life. There are some flaws, glitches, but the pros outweight the cons thousands of times. This is a game you can immerse your self into. Your decisions feel like they matter, every word carries weight. Combat is the best i've seen in an Rpg ever. Sorry for the long comment i just really loved the game and the people i met, the faces i saw, the story i lived trough. Nothing will ever compare to this game. I havent done justice to the game with this comment, not nearly. Good luck to you all, may your next adventure be vibrant and fun.....
Reading this comment in 2022 is so saddening : ( I hope CDPR can redeem themselves soon and once again be that awesome company that gave us the witcher series, a modern masterpiece!!!
Finally... So glad you made this, this is some of my favorite music in the game and it's great to get one longer than some of the 9-10 minute ones floating around youtube.
This music (folk) is kind of underappreciated in my opinion, it helped the game come alive. I noticed while playing the game, that i experienced this music as normal on the background without any special antention to it, afterwards when I relistened to them I concluded how beautiful they were piece for piece. Normally almost every track for this section should be included, thank you for your reaction and your appreciation. Kind regards,
I agree, you get so engrossed in the gameplay that you don't realize how beautiful the music is on its own. It has an emotional/nostalgic effect when you revisit it. Skyrim and all the Elder Scrolls games had the same effect for me.
I could see how you might accidentally (or intentionally) let this be "background" music. I've done that, too, with some game soundtracks. Me, though--half the reason I played Gwent every chance I got was the music.
Making npcs more than stools only here to give you quests or buy/sell you stuff is what makes your imaginary world feel real and alive. Something where TW3 stood out, not only frop the Baron quest, but also things like this wedding mission, one of the best parts of the whole game
Another Round for everyone. The energy of this song is amazing. So simple yet it compels you to just get up and dance! Favorite score if the entire Witcher franchise
Best ambient inn/tavern music in any video game. Don’t get me wrong, I love Skyrim. But this music makes Skyrim’s inn music so mundane and too simple. I love CDPR and the Witcher 3: the GOAT of video games
We need some pubs playing these tracks, I would feel like I'm in a Witcher tavern and have a freaking relaxed evening with beer, wine, bread, cheese and gwent!
This first track is pure evil :D It came all the time...it were everywhere :D :D :D This is the song of madness :D :D But i still loved every second of the game.
I still remember having played this game so much and modding it so much that I was spending weeks going around looking at the visuals and admiring how detailed every area seemed to be and how alive the game looked and felt, then suddenly I play "GWENT" with someone and fall in love with it. Like it's a totally different game!
Music is only a part of the Masterpiece in Witcher 3, but you know the Quality as soon as you are taken back playing the Witcher in your mind as soon as you hear it! Game and Music really came together in this! I am still playing W3 after 2 Years because there is noting of that Perfection in the Games World!
Thank you very much for your wonderful compliment, it's appreciated. I remember your account from reactions on other of my video's, thank you for your support all the way. Kind regards,
They weren’t kidding when they said the Witcher 3 is an amazing game. I played it and finished it back in December 2019. A year later its still on my mind and I miss playing it.
Thank you so much for putting these together, I've been adding them to a playlist I use when I run some D&D games. It is so great to have the tracks separated by theme or area!
I can’t be the only who started hearing the music during the party quest on hearts of stone just stood there wasting time cuz the music was soooo gooodddd
Witcher 3 is the most memorable game i've ever played and it made me sad that Witcher 3 is the end for geralt..The music in this game is so much better than Skrim.I love skyrim but man Witcher 3 music is so much better.
I've been looking for Back on the Path everywhere, its one of my favorite tracks. When you heard this, you immediately knew someone is going to be crazy mad at Geralt and the others soon. The damn is not listed anywhere else though.
Can someone please make 1 hour cut of tavern music 1? I mean I may not be able to offer much in gratitude but I would most certainly pray for that person. Like a lot!
Thank you so much for uploading this! I searched all over RU-vid for a collection of all the folk/tavern songs from Witcher!! I need this for my D&D campaign, lol
