Despite being a massive fan of Sapkowski's work, I've never managed to finish it. I've read all the books, participated in LARPs (The Witcher School) and I love RPGs, but this game simply bored me to death every time I reached Skellige. I didn't have any problems with completing The Witcher 1 and 2. Maybe it's because whenever I play something, I try to complete every single side quest, and the number of question marks in The Witcher 3 is a bit overwhelming. On the other hand, I once collected all the feathers in Assassin's Creed 1, so yeah... I don't really know why it's like that.
*Lumen and Nanites give a much greater advantage for less loss of performance, and then if there is no lake or glass, you almost have to go with a magnifying glass in search of changes, as if ENB was simply turned on in places, although it gave more changes in GTA 4. Huang has earned so much on mining that he is no longer afraid to stick with his bestial attitude towards his own consumers, not giving DLSS 3.0 to 3000 cards and also DLSS 2 to 1000, where FSR is used. Only a fool will continue to want to support him and buy his cards.* LOOK AT FORTNITE 5.1 *Люмен и Наниты дают намного большего преимущества за меньшую потерю производительности, а тут если нет озера или стекла, надо чуть ли не с лупой ходить в поисках изменений, будто местами просто ENB включили, хотя он в GTA 4 давал больше изменений.
I spent more than 5000 hours on Diablo 2 and seeing this trailer, or seeing anything on this planet, gets me even more hyped to play more Diablo 2, best game ever.
@@richardcahill1234 Propably doesnt even know what timeless means. I can clearly see you back in your basement with your 12 y/o boys playing Fortnite 😂
Lots and lots of memories tied with this one. Feels like yesterday. The first play, emotions, music, views and city, villages, woods, bogs, hills, sunsets, hard-working poor villagers, their daily life, their own stories, characters, races, politics, magics, natural, supernatural, crimes, horrors, drama, love-hate and what not. Those times will not come again.
This is how I felt with my first play through of Mass Effect... ESPECIALLY the 2nd one.. even on my 2nd and 3rd playthrough, making different decisions and role playing differently.. The feeling was indescribable, especially all the lore as you said, the magic, the drama, larger-than-life situations, the characters and their life like interactions and dilemmas, its just magic.. This is the single largest reasons I cant and have never been able to get into any multiplayer games.. I understand the appeal of getting alone and battling your friends, but thats all it is. For me, video games are narrative, theyre interactive stories, theyre characters with overwhelming arcs and developments; a wildly engaging and engrossing medium of telling a story that puts you in the middle of all the glory, the pain, the sadness and action and Universe. I love LIVING that story... as no other medium lets you do apart from video games, and they only seem to be getting better. The day developers stop making grand, single player operas meant to stir emotions, and just make multiplayer arena style arcade games, the medium will suffer a significant death. Here's hoping that will never happen.
This game is a straight masterpiece! From the visuals at the time, the soundtrack is phenomenal, the gameplay is amazing, the main story, the side quests felt relevant and fun, not to mention Gwent. This game is a must play for any level of gamer. Cannot wait to play this again.
I feel ya, man. This game is in my Top list - in fact no 1. I loved this game so much; not sure why. Maybe the quest, the emotional bond from the prev games or the characters or just being Geralt. 250 hours in - and I stopped playing it, for the sake to erase it from my memories to feel it back - the exhilaration. I played a lot of games over the years - games that give me goosebumps like this - Sekiro, ok maybe Bloodborne.. right, maybe both? GOW, Black Ops 2, Resident Evil 2 and 7, Silent Hill 2, RDR 2 perhaps or okay, maybe GTA V, GOTsushima and Original Assassins Ezio series. These are in top list...
@@Neoblades It was obvious they hate it or at least don't give a crap about it, from the start. Kinda sad cdpr still pandering for it with adding the ugly and nonsense ballsack armor from it to replace the realistic Nilfgaard armor. (optional, yes, but still, why... cus wheel concept? pretty dumb)
It has one of the greatest beginning and endings of any game ever made. It has one of the best if not the best DLC's of all-time. The ending of the final DLC where Geralt looks you right in the eyes.....it is so powerful.
Definitely not, but it's up there. Games lile this are rare and I'll celebrate it for being even more beautiful now. Nice to wash that awful Netflix taste out of my mouth now
Its been five years since I got sucked into this world for hundreds of hours and since I was so sad to leave it behind after I've completed it. I think it's time to return!
This is THE best game i've ever played in my life, sooo much good memories attached to this franchise and you guys made it even better. Thank you CDPR!
@@ifeelsane2898 yeap i only casually play games and for me all the 3 witcher games were the most memorable. Along with Chrono trigger. Don't feel sad for me lol i am quite happy 🤣
First time i played this game, I was facing the castle on a cliff, and i just stared at the view, and listened to the wind through the trees for like 40 mins.
Yes but... i can not see differents in trailer. Its a same... what is next gen update ? Just 60fps for consoles ? Where is better skins or graphic ? :/
@@TimoteonSK I also had some trouble finding changes. There are some obvious ones however like the RTX reflections. It also just has a crisper look to it, but i cant explain why
Its not even the fact they made this game look even better, but they are adding even more content to it as well. This is my fav game ever and i cant wait to replay it, especially when my pc upgrades come in.
The words can't describe what this game means to me, it's literally a part of my childhood, and it will always have a special place in my hearth. I will never stop playing this game and neither should you.
I bought it two years ago but didn't play it. Then they announced the next gen update. So I waited. Next week I'll be building a new PC and I am looking forward to playing it at long last.
Started playing this game through lockdown as a way to keep myself sane. I keep replaying it because I absolutely love it. Next Gen has me all kinds of excited!
@gingergamer94 I missed out on the wii Zelda games, I bought a switch twice but I just can't deal with long load times, pixalated 540p visuals. I need a current gen switch to play those games I missed.
722 hours and the platinum on the PS4 version. This game has a truly special place in my heart, it’s all I played during lockdown and it absorbed me into the world like no other game ever has. So many memorable characters and moments. Almost in tears at how happy I am at the thought of getting to experience it again. Thank you CDPR, I love you.
I platinumed it 2 times on PS4. Had the original, then I bought the Game of The Year version on sale for 10 bucks thinking I would be able to continue the DLC with the vanilla versions save file. I could not.... The game of the year uses a different save file and has its own set of trophies so i was like F it and i did it all over again this time with all the DLC. WORTH
I will always feel chills. This is the best game I have ever played in my life, there are so many good memories attached to this franchise and you guys made it even better. Thanks CDPR!
I think only Mass Effect trilogy can get close to feeling I have for The Witcher. I can’t put it in words. You have to feel it. CD Project creates timeless games.
I have yet to play the witcher (starting it rn actually) but i understand what you mean, cyberpunk's story was so amazing and it grasped your emotions perfectly, if witcher's story is anywhere near that I can see myself losing hundreds of hours to the game
you hold mass effect up on too high of a pedastal, then. mass effect trilogy = 2 bad games and 1 great one. witcher trilogy = two great games and one okay-but-dated one.
Personally It was one quite good game (with caveats), one decent but downgrade of few levels and third I did not even bother. :) Witcher 3 I held higher regard.
I will gladly lose myself in this masterpiece for another 150 hours. This game made me laugh, and cry, so many good emotions and memories attached to this game back in 2015-2016. I considered it to be my favorite game of all time, even still after GoWR, EldenRing, Cyberpunk and other big games. I hope you guys, CDPR, can make another game like this.
Insane game 15/10 really! I came into it from Skyrim with modest expectations and at the start I was like, eh, okay, will do for the winter. But then it gets interesting, and then it gets REALLY GOOD and hooks you up on it, ultra deep story, insane characters, absolute out-of-the-box scenarios, wonderful combat mechanics, and now even better graphics?!? T H A N K S !!!
It was an amazing two weeks, the best Christmas and New Year gift, thanks to the developers for this best game of all time, still don’t believe it came out in 2015, and thank you for being able to immerse myself in the Witcher world again. It was heartbreaking. it hurt. It is gloomy. But that’s the beauty of a good game. That’s how we know it’s stolen our hearts: We never want to leave.
u guys know how to get access to this update? i have the ps4 version, but the ps4 and CD is in another city, with my brother who has access to the same account i use on my ps5
@@patrickbateman3247 The lighting, weather, shadows and textures are drastically improved. It resembles the current version cuz the textures are just upscaled and not completely changed. And yeah textures are the first thing that makes a game look more realistic along with lighting.
On the one hand, I certainly want to do that, on the other, I'd have to go and beat TW2 again first to have myself an elf-side save, and that playthrough's already 20+ hours of going into that one cave over and over trying to grind money for the special Dark Mode armor, which... yeah.
@@patrickbateman3247 Take a closer look at the world, not the human character models. World wide grass, water, lightning, trees and monster look totally different.
@@Army-nx9lc witcher is fantasy (irrational and meaningless), horizon is epic sci-fi (highly rational and meaningful). you should definitely check forbidden west game movie on youtube, it's a blast and the last hours are just mind blowing, especially the final assault against the zenith base, it puts every Hollywood blockbuster to shame (except the Dune remake)
"Winds howling".....words cannot express how excited I am to get back to this amazing game! A true masterpiece. Such great memories and I get to relive it all over again.....another 500+ hours? Count me in :)
Unfortunately, I lost access to the GOG account with the game or if I buy a village now the update will also be free? I ask because there is information that if you buy on December 14 it will be free.
If you buy the game before December 14, the update will be free, but not the game itself. If you buy the game after the update, it will cost the same but will be updated. Either way, you're spending the same amount, it's just a free update.
I have never played witcher 3 and i have a base xbox one so shoudl i wait till i build a pc or should i just play it on the xbox one whats your opinion
I see myself lost in this wonderful world again after 14th of December. And it's more than worth it. I can't describe the story and the game they made here in words. It's a masterpiece in any way.
Is there any information about the system requirements for the PC version? I read that it will update automatically, but what if the system is not powerful enough?
This has been the best game ever made for me. It was soo good that I couldn't play any single player rpg again ever since I finished it. But boy I'm glad I got to play it. Finished it twice and now waiting for the next gen update to play again. Honestly great ful for this masterpiece CDPR
@@MrSvante88 appreciate the recommendation mate. Yes I have tried it but I just got too attached to the witcher story telling, its characters. Haven't been able to move on since
@@amitdadwal4240 Fair enough that you gave it a shot. I typically recommend people to give BOTW 2-3 hours and if they're not hooked then it's just not for them : )
I was literally crying when I've finished it. No other games gave me such emotions as The Witcher 3. I am from Eastern Europe and TW3 gives me that special vibes. Uuuuhh love it!
How would this work. Would I put my PS4 disc into my PS5 then download a separate native PS5 version of the game? Or is it still the PS4 version that is just PS5 aware?
This looks gorgeous! I don’t have the words to describe how extraordinary this experience was for me during my first play through! The Witcher 3 is a masterpiece and is arguably the greatest video game of all time!
@@Shukulo i mean i'm a witcher fanboy but even i can't lie, yeh it does look like what im playing right now on 4k. I thought the difference would be more obvious but it's not. I'll still replay it but it looks almost the same.
I’ve spent probably over 1000 hours on this game and I can’t say I wasted a second playing it. I love this game and will always be my favorite of all time thank you for an update ❤️
I've finished Witcher 3 two times, the second time, after finishing main story and both DLCs I've started clearing the maps from all question marks. I've cleared White Orchid, Velen, Novigrad and Toussaint. Only Skellige was half-cleared. I KNOW that they will give us something more to play after endgame. And I cannot wait to find it all this time. Thank you CD Projekt. Best game I've played in my life.
Damn that music.....the wolf and the swallow... I keep picturing the scene in my head.... got chills each time I hear it. Bless you Stroinski for this masterpiece.
pwouaaaa let the Netflix serie where she is!!! its a crap! as a first hour player of the CDPR franchise wait for the Witcher 1 remake and you will see what the real CDPR feeling of the Witcher? Netflix is a polution its a crap.
Did you notice that Caranthir has 2 staffs in the last shot?😆 A trailer for an update which is suppose to fix glitches and there's a glitch within this trailer, oh ironic. Seriously, it is the last shot, no way everyone in the company missed that. Instead, someone decided to just put the shot with a clear error, nice...
@@gregdefronsac I have a bad feeling about the witcher 1 remake "made for a modern audience" doesn't exactly scream good to me. Especially now that cd is drinking heavy from the cup of ESG given mandates.
So does this update upgrade the graphics of the existing game and the two expansions? I don't even remember where I got the game from. GOG maybe? I need WAY more information than this video provides.
@@jonathansoko1085 Agreed. So much hype for a 5/10 game with great graphics. Mediocre writing. Repetitive combat. A main quest that went on far too long and featured some of the worst 'main character friends' in gaming history...and leveled loot. So utterly out of place and immersion shattering...
Good update, but my computer won't hold it. Will it be possible to stay on the old version of the game? Because I really want to play and I'm afraid that there will be freezes.
@@evolicious I have RTX 2060 and AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and I can't buy a new one, I have no time for computers now. So I am interested in the question if it will be possible to stay on the old version. Hello from Ukraine
Thank you for all the hard work you put into this update to give us an unforgettable experience and let us fall in love with this game all over again! ❤
This game helped me to go through one of the most difficult periods of my life. Instead of being depressed, I played the Witcher Wild Hunt. For that, it is always in my heart.
Same brother, same. I played it at the start of the pandemic on my laptop. I later bought my first console, a Xbox series s and witcher 3 was the first game I bought, I was waiting for the next gen update but after it was delayed I could wait no longer and played the main story to 💯% and a little bit of hearts of stone. Now that the update is coming, I'll finish up the DLCs and start a new game plus in 60fps.
I'm excited for an excuse to replay thos again. Also I know Blood and Wine wasn't everyone's cup of tea but I adored exploring that bright sunny land :D
