There are shows and movies in which the "Girl power" suits very well and beautifully, its not something new..kill bill 1 and 2 are my favourite movies of of all time (10/10)and its about a girl and revenge. I dont like how every show has to have feminism, 2SLGBTQIA+ narrative. Riverdale is a prime example how it ruins the show.

Definitely looked worried at the inevitable cancellation of the show and their jobs..

Totally agree. Really can't picture Liam in that role. His brother Thor can pull it off though. But the show is going in a new direction so Witcher doesn't play a big role anymore so maybe it doesn't matter.

If he was such a good actor you wouldn't have to refer to his looks as being perfect for the role. Honestly, it would just be self-evident that he was the most capable for the role. I don't think emotionally he brings anything that another actor can't bring. I find his acting stiff and Liam's more believable. I think Someone like Yenefer could truly not be replaced because the subtlety and emotion she brings to her character is unmatched in any other actor. She's incredible and a stand-out actress who truly could not be replaced. You guys are just reluctant to open your minds to the idea that someone could act the role as well as Henry, and to be honest, the role isn't that difficult. He didn't bring a lot of emotionality to his delivery and felt stiff a lot of the time (which is how his character in Enola Holmes also felt)

How do you know? I get it why he decided to quit and he is completely right about his choice, but I think we should give it a chance to Liam, cause if he was acting as the Witcher since season 1 nobody would even think about Henry, even tho people wanted him, we just had to accept.

Yeah that sucks. At least let him promote the show one last time. But I'm not sure how they're going to make the transition. Will they kill off Geralt and introduce his long lost brother Gerald. Or will they try to make Liam look like him. They need to ask him that in the press interviews.

Honestly not sure what the beef is but I'm guessing showrunner want to turn this into a boss girl show and turn Geralt of Riviera into a cuckold. It's understandable Henry Cavill balked as that's not good for the show or his brand. But maybe Thor is a better choice?

I loved the witcher before the series so I already loved this world and it’s characters and story. Seeing how pitch perfect Henry’s portrayal of Geralt was really exited me. Henry now exiting the show was very shocking however seeing how many people saying they are boycotting the show really kind of made me think that many people are not actually a fan of the Witcher, but rather Henry Cavill and his portrayal of geralt, which again is perfect, but we need to accept that henry is not coming back and if that’s a dealbreaker for many people so be it. I love this world and these characters, so I’ll give it a chance. As long as Liam is still retains the same core characteristics and personality traits of the geralt that we all know and love then I think it’ll be fine. Henry was a great Geralt, but this is a whole fantasy world, which we see through Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer. If they recast everyone then I wouldn’t bother watching more, but I’m invested in the story and I wanna see where it’s going. It’s a damn shame that we’re losing henry, but I am still a witcher fan so I want to see this show succeed and continue. This season has been great thus far, so if they can keep that quality going into season 4 I hope they can keep the momentum. Change is always difficult and it will take time to accept and adapt to the new geralt, which I hope will be a successful transition. Henry’s Geralt will be missed but I am exited for what Henry will do in the future with Warhammer, which is something I have no knowledge of so that will be interesting to dive in completely blind. Anyways I’m enjoying this season and hope the show will actually get to complete its story unlike so many netflix shows that get axed before it’s proper conclusion.

Without fans of the games and even books this show wouldn't have been as successful. Fans that were betrayed by the bad adaptation only kept watching because of Henry though.

The problem I have with Liam is that he's too much of a 'pretty boy'. He's got a softer face that doesn't fit the gritty hardened look of Geralt. He's also doesn't have the same expressive eyes that I feel like are going to make it hard for him to convey the same level of emotion that Henry did. And for a character that doesn't say a whole lot, acting with facial expressions is pretty important.

I don't know the full story behind him leaving/getting booted. Was it just the writers and producers that were the problem or did some of the female cast have issues with him?

@@Fig11000 Honestly I don't know 100% but Henry has said previously that he was a big Witcher fan (the books/games) and my guess is that he doesn't like the changes being made in the story or how it's being represented in someway but he can't openly say that because that would be dissing Netflix so goodbye career.

On the other hand seeing that more actors are actually reading up on more than just the script, I think they're going to honor his wishes moving forward. How dumb is Netflix that they can't just let Henry have his character the way he wants it?

I won't be bothering with Season 4, not because I don't want to give Liam a chance, but because it'd be like a movie after The Dark Knight, with Heath Ledger still alive, and they swap out the joker role to someone else. That ain't it.
