@CodeName BUTCHER Most in the west at least. When I played the first Witcher I could only find 'The Last Wish' and 'Blood of elves' in English. Also, I got invested after a year because it was really buggy on release with very long loading screens.

Fun fact about Entertainment Weekly. They trashed The Witcher in their review and they actually admit skipping many episodes. Literally right after the pilot, they skipped to episode 5. What the f***? How are these guys professionals at all?

Yeah I think I just read that review. The Entertainment Weekly critics commented that they should have learned their lesson with movies about people walking through the woods with Lord of the Rings. We all know how wildly unsuccessful lords of the rings was. I do not know why anyone puts any value on what critics think.

People don't go to magazines and news sites to read reviews by their in-house critic anymore, they watch RU-vid channels like Red Letter Media, Screen Junkies, Jeremy Jahns, Chris Stuckman, Double Toasted, and more etc. Following some rand-o review guy from a magazine is what grandpas and boomers used to do before they learned how to smartphone. The only way to get any clicks on your articles if you work for one of these magazine sites, so you can keep your head above water and not get laid off, is just making hate-bait and playing the victim on Twitter in the couple days after you get published. This is what Entertainment Weekly and other fluff publications in the media have been reduced to.

I think it is because a lot of people disagree to see Anya as Yen and probably she awares of it cause fans of the witcher think all characters should be based on a game even if the game its self not really follows the book in terms of physical appearance. So they got a lot of hate cause that. I've seen trailer its great even if I read books and played games and can tell all the differences. But still I want to see this no matter what.

@@ullynikole1263 I'm a huge fan of the books for years before W3 was out and the games hit it. You know the fans also hated the in-game Yen when they first saw her? lol. It's a never-ending cycle. I was skeptical yes but have checked out her work in a Shakespearean play and you can hear her tone of voice and her acting is top notch. She was fierce. I think that's what kept me being neutral towards her as Yen. However, it's human decency not to go around bashing her personally like I have seen some horrible comments about her directly sent to her. How sad. She's a human being already pressured to do this and I think she's doing incredible. Way better than what I thought. I hope people let her live and breathe and cut her some slack. The in-game Yen now is default even though she wasn't, so this one will rule just in time.

@@TOT777SOS To be fair, you're referring to the initial look of Yennefer, which you can still see in some of the pre-release trailers. She looked a LOT different than how she looked when the game released, which is how she looks now. The design team at CDPR made a last-minute decision to change her look which made her look infinitely better in my opinion and is why she is a memorable character in my mind.

There may also be some legal issues in taking direct influence from the games as netflix has bought rights for adapting the book series and everything that CPPR has come up on their own isn't included in that contract.

Glad I got to see this video as Henry Cavill stated he is Geralt of Rivia. I hope this like Stranger Things season 3 will start in helping get Netflix out of dark times, as I am really looking forward to this show.
