Your video really resonated with me, as an ex Christian who has been called to witchcraft after 40 years of feeling kicked to the curb by Yahweh, I spoke with the man in black, who is also Lucifer, and he explained to me that to be a witch is to accept that all magick cast through me is granted by his grace as he is the father of witchcraft. He's actually a very nice person or god to speak with. And he doesn't hate me for my past enmity with him because of indoctrinated brainwashing. As long as respect is shown to him, he can be very gentle and understanding. I asked him if i could serve Hekate as i felt more comfortable serving a goddess after 40 years of serving a male deity, and he was fine with it and got me connected, so to speak. Hekate is a mother to me, and i am now devoted to her, calling her mum, but i still maintain respect for Lucifer. After all the fear that surrounds him is based on a man made book written by and changed by men throughout the ages with a political agenda to control the masses, that book of course is the bible. I work with necromancy, and I see the Devil as a resurrected spirit of paganism. Like He was killed by the Church and witches raised Him back. I don't see him as the Christian Satan, but I do see him as one of many spirits adversarial to the Church, by virtue of his proclivities.

This is excellent Abi. I must admit I have never really thought of the Witches Devil. I mean I have thought of Pan and the Green Man, horned God, Baphomet but never really associated him as a Devil, just a God of sorts or some sort of Elemental Being. I think of the witches' devil as an archetype really. Many deities could be a face of that archetype but maybe others believe all of these deities and spirits are separate!! I work with a deity with the same qualities and attributes known as the witherwin, the witches devil that dances backwards and speaks backwards. Witherwin means adversary, the witherchrist, the god of witches and more.
It's interesting how this generation of witches is comfortable with throwing around a wild hodgepodge of labels/images from a variety of traditions and just run with it, applying themselves to the primal sources to improvise new pathworkings. Evokers have previously been a lot more particular about their sources and lineages, and frankly I'm finding this new trend of cross-cultural mindsets to be a refreshing, non-jealous change. It's like the jazz fusion has come back to human practitioners after centuries of separatism and/or parochialism. Gee, what "fair warning" could I give here? Ummm.... perhaps just this. If you ever get into either way high sorcery or "journeying-like" mind/spirit travels, do keep in mind that out there in the information-energy of the whatever-cosmic-multiverse-shadows-etc of the Neverwhere, there are some particular entities that are not just reflections of your own perspective, and they can pop up some surprises. On the other hand, a lot of them will meet you according to your own expectations, up to a point, so you may get some buffer to your dealings even so. Likewise, if you get into hardcore Nature communions, there are World-Spirits that are definitely themselves as emergent properties of their own systems, and they operate at their own levels amongst themselves, without much regard for human sensibilities. If you are, as you seem to say, a friend of Serpent, you may have already felt some of that preternatural patience, cunning, and infravision-like perceptions from that Spirit that is not just your own, that has eons of practice at its operations, for win or lose. Serpent always has a backup plan, because it knows that sometimes it will realize too late that it has slithered too far afield and found its fangs wouldn't penetrate the target as intended. Finally, perhaps irrelevantly, there is something in your features and manner that looks familiar, and I'm wondering if you are some part Sami. The things that suggest this could be so distantly removed through other locations -- this is the modern hybridized world after all -- that it wouldn't be obvious from recent family, but I can't help but be curious.
