They briefly talked about the witches' "crimes" in season 2 episode 3. The Jealous Witch was named as such because she killed all of the other witches and used them as sustenance.

Sure echidna is "normal", nothing wrong in her head. Also as usual the best part of the video is your reaction at the end, you can see the exact moment your brain got hit with a ton of questions and bewilderment hahahhahah. But honestly that ending was weird as hell, the black miasma consuming everything with the shape of the witch at the center. And the fact that there's still so many different horrible end scenarios that get triggered by unknown factors. You think that there's like 2 or 3 plots happening at the same time, but there's also this chaotic factor of Subaru being host to Satella's fixation that can just destroy all possibilities and mess everything up.

So many people don't seem to get it. Daphne is basically terrifyingly fair. She made those beasts so they could be used as infinite food source, but made them dangerous because it's only fair. It wouldn't be fair if those monsters couldn't defend itself, no?

I think some other people said it maybe idk but shes the witch of envy because she is jealous of everything else in the name of love. She loves Subaru entirely, she doesn’t allow him to tell people about RBD because it is a secret between them that no one can know. Next episode, she does some more things that encompass envy. Subaru said it here but shes going after the mansion because she’s targeting everything important to him. The anime doesn’t explicitly state it but this is because he talked about RBD, breaking the conditions of the bond she supposedly forced onto him. Im assuming this is what she does if Subaru finds a work around to their RBD curse, she couldn’t stop him when he was in Echidna dream world. It seem like Satella takes away whats important to Subaru if he breaks this condition, its why it killed Emilia in season 1 when he tried to tell her
