Who else can she gain all this knowledge from? She'll get him there eventually, but can't guarantee she won't break him in the process. He might end up not desiring anything anymore, in which case she will have fulfilled the contract.
i mean there is litterally a what if story about this choice of subaru , where he chooses the contract and in the end dies over 100 million times trying to achieve his goal which costs him qiuite "a bit" of his humanity/sanity

Technically she didn't say "it is wonderful" that Beatrice suffered for 400 years. What is "wonderful" exactly? The fact that Beako suffered? That she didn't choose anyone, when she could have at any point? That she was loyal to Echidna for 400 years? That she chose contract over her mental health? It is a vague answer, just like everything when to comes to her. But in the end she got what she wanted.

She designed the question so answer would be on whom you choose to be that person so she could figure out what beako's personality is like there. But its wonderful cuz she never expected her to choose the answer of not choosing anyone even if she agonised and wanted to die. It did answer what echidna was looking for but it wasnt an answer she had even considered, thus it was wonderful thing her greed got satisfied
But there's actually not anything particularly interesting in her crazyness. She just wants to know everything so your fantasy would just turn into having to write essays about what you did every hour you spend away from her. Also get ready for the most boring, transactional sex you'll ever have I guess.
And the worst, Echidna would have lost interest, and Subaru would have never saved Rem, Emilia would be crazy, cut her hair to look like Rem to get Subaru's attention, etc.

For context: What Equidna wanted was pretty much to turn Subaru's life into what was going to be essentially her videogame. With Subaru as her "player character". Just so she could have a way to interact with the real world (because she's dead) and satisfy her own curiosity for the things that happen in the world and killing Subaru in the process as many times as she wanted until she accomplished Subaru's goal no matter to what monstrous scenarios she would have to put Subaru into. That's why the line "I will help you to reach your goal...in the end" was so important. Because she was going to "help" Subaru...eventually. When she feels that her curiosity for the world was satisfied. Which in all honesty was probably never. And when it comes to Beatrice, she pretty much told her to wait for "that person" just because she wanted to know what will happen if she did that. Regardless of how much time Beatrice would have to wait genuinely believing that someone was going to appear and be "that person".
Regarding the other timelines, they are part of the trial so it's not a confirmation that other timelines exist but if they did that's likely what would happen. It could go either way and there are arguments for either. Personally I believe the timeline resets rather than multiple worlds cause 1) we've seen return by death stop time in S1 (when subaru attempted to reveal return by death to emilia), so it's not impossible that it could also reverse time 2) it'd be a much sadder series in my opinion and I don't want to believe it lol
The author has written a few side stories about “What If” scenarios where Subaru made different choices based off the seven sins and the greed one focuses on if Subaru accepted Echidna’s deal. She basically has him abuse RBD to see every possible outcome to every decision until he finds one where everyone survives, but he ends up caring so little about his own life that he’d kill himself over the most minor things like seeing what the weather would be like the next day. Just so you know, a lot of these stories have spoilers that aren’t in the anime yet in case you wanted to read them
It makes sense to be skeptical tho cause the witches are implied to be horrible people before this 😂 this show has a tendency to make you distrust most people at some point
So what happens if Subaru took Echidna's hand is basically a 100% completion route. She would make Subaru see all the bad ends before putting him on a route where everyone survives. Also, everyone will survive in this route but Echidna doesn't care about their mental well-being. Subaru becomes so desensitized with the concept of death that he will go back just to give weather report to Petra.
Subaru thought he was going to permanently die in the second trial with all those loops, at that moment, he wanted only to see one person, Rem, not anybody else. That's... interesting.
I think it was a combination of love and guilt. The books go into more detail about Subaru’s feelings, but my overall impression is that he loved Rem, missed her terribly, and wanted nothing more than for her to be okay, and that’s why he saw her instead of Emilia.

I love how even though Rem is technically in a magic coma right now and that wasn't actually her, just seeing Rem was a reminder for Subaru of what he needed to hear.
Not sure if anyone’s mentioned it but the author of rezero would write a “what if” story every year on Subaru’s birthday where he would tell the story of what if he made a different key decision from the main story. What if: Greed is where Subaru would accept the contract with Echidna and let’s just say it’s as bad as it can get (kind of). Tldr: Echidna made Subaru use return by death hundreds of thousands of times to get every single possible outcome to satiate her thirst for knowledge, to the point that Subaru was just a husk of a puppet that echidna controlled every aspect of.
I love it so much, how each of the Witches takes the sin and turns it into something twisted. Wrath wants to do the right thing, but the only way she knows is violence. She isnt violent, because she is full of wrath, but because she is full of love. Lust wants to give people what they want, stands in for their love, but herself does not love herself in just used. Gluttony does not want all to be devoured but wants nobody to starve, but her creation also shouldnt starve, not one should eat all, but evrything should eat each other. Pride does not understand what it is to be proud, she is just childish and does what she wants, she has no aspiration. Sloth is diligent and her followers are the most diligent there are, even if its bothering her, she will do what needs to be done. Greed is ready to give away everything and wants nothing in return than to be witnessed, she does not understand emotions at all. Envy cares more about that one person she loves, then everything else, even more than about herself, its not about her, its about the person she loves. I really love this twisted representation of the sins ♥
What Echidna offers Subaru is her knowledge and assitance in leading him to his desired outcome but in return she wants him to die countless times first so that she can sate her curiosity getting to see every possible outcome for each situation he finds himself in. Essentially near infinite suffering and death for the promise of a guranteed solution at the end of it. And for the second trial it suggested that the reality where Subaru died is real every time and he is showed the result of his own death. This is not proven to him but it's a scary thought that him chosing death doomes the people he loves in that reality every time.

Echidna called the trial a well constructed unreality and said since this is the authority / ability of Satella only she herself knows how the timelines look after Subaru died or if there are even any timelines that continue. The trial is constructed out of the memories who’s taking it so this is echidna making an educated guess on how everyone would’ve acted after Subaru died
Carmilla is actually very aggressive despite the tone of voice she uses. Pay attention to the actual words she uses, despite sounding like she'll cry her words are curt, and to the point, and almost scathing. If you read her words without listening to her voice it feels so different. What she did wasn't her fault but she seems to not be pleased with her involvement once she found out.
Wrath is wrath because she was furious at the world constantly fighting, so she decided to become a deterrent. She cares a great deal about things, so I always just assumed the love hearts were a comic representation about how passionate she is.
By the way, Rooswal knows that Subaru can restart but he doesn't know how he does it, or more likely, the conditions that have to be met in order to actually restart.
subaru taking the deal with echidna results in something called the Greed IF Story. these stories are non canon but show what happens if subaru takes the path of sin instead of the path of a virtue. highly recommend them as a good half of the IF stories for the 7 sins are already tied to what youve seen so far the IF stories are all tragic, and are not GOOD routes, it seems like Ange would have been the one to follow the path of greed lmao, echidna manipulated him already
So as to why Puck destroy the world well it goes more than just "It ain't worth living in a world without Emilia". I won't go into much detail cause this is not explained in the anime (but I do think it has been in the light novel). But it's something that makes a lot of sense as to why Puck does it.
0:38 No, roswall does NOT know Subaru can return by death. He thinks Subaru can time-travel AT WILL backwards. (not clear if he knows there's a "save point"). That's why he was beating up Subaru last episode. He wanted to force Subaru to activate his power to end the beating. If he knew Subaru's power was Return By Death he would just kill him anytime he didn't like the way the timeline was playing out.
Well yeah, the importance and influence of Echidna's character on the story(and Subaru) is hard to overestiamte. And a lot of things she do should not be taken at a face value. This tea party included :)

She's basically going to treat Subaru as a test subject in an experiment. Even in times when he doesn't have to die, she will make him die if it can satisfy her greed for knowledge. Unfortunately, she's to greedy to be satisfied so Subaru will only suffer too much with her.
Reinhardt is extremely strong, hes got at least 20 different OP abilities and thats not even all, just what we know so far, he could easily beat other anime characters such as gojo satoru and sukuna, itll be fun to finally see him animated in battle during season 3 🔥
@@piccolo9819 right, so im guessing you dont know how reinhardt works, he has an ability that makes it so that all attacks towards him has a 100% chance of missing him, he also has Blessing of the Phoenix, which means he can revive himself after dying, he also has Precognition: He has a super sense which through his intuition alerts him of danger, and and lets him immediatly know what the enemy is trying to attack him with, meaning he also learns how to counter it, he also is the sword saint, which means he can break the unbreakable, it lets him use his sword and cut through anything....and i mean ANYTHING, even the universe and the dimensions itself,he also has the power Initiative, meaning he cant be ambushed or surprised attacked, it will always fail against him, on top of that the power inititative means that the first attack reinhard does against opponets, will always hit them, no matter what. also his Defective Gate lets him dissable any and all powers/abilities that arent physical, no matter what, meaning any power any character has that isnt a physical attack stops working, for example kamehameha, gojos infinity, shall i go on? because he has around at least 15 more powers that will just make it easier and easer for him to beat pretty much anyone.
