I have seen a few demonstrations of the Demi Deck, but none have showed underneath the deck. That is a class move. Not even sure if the official video shows it, but that takes it up a level, so thanks for showing that.

I produce my mini laptop from the cap of my Sharpie, into the cupped hands of the spectator. Great reactions, no need to for a cell phone, plus now both the Sharpie & laptop are in play.

The production of the feather is visually pretty but part where the ostrich feather is vanished but is still sticking out of the magicians sleeve made me laugh out loud

28:48 one half of the deck looks so incredibly gimmicked compared to the real half... think this massively lets the trick down. Way more care could have been taken to build this part. Also, its being tilted forwards (28:48 & 30:06) so the cards should technically be falling out (one half has the strap holding them in - the other should also have a 'strap' or something, again, it kills the realism and the effect dead for me.

I agree with you about the visual disparity between the real deck and the gimmicked side, but to be fair on your other point, the back half opens up into a window that has a framed around it which holds the half in place and keeps it from “falling out.”

@@MichaelKrasMagic I dont really see the frame, looks same as the front to me & wouldnt really cross my mind to look for - IMHO would make more sense to have a piece vertically like the front...

@@m0nk3yl0v3r Agreeing with Michael about the frame stopping the cards falling out, but the reason for the enclosed back part is because of the gimmicked cards at the back always being on show. What would be a great upgrade would be, like you say, a more realistic stack of cards at the back, but they fold in before you insert the cards so at the start you could see right through. There is another thing that could make it more examinable at the end. Still a great visual prop, though. I think there is a way mentioned to do something to make the back cards a bit more realistic, I think.

Is it just me or does the X Light not come across on video at all? Maybe it’s better in real life but I genuinely wasn’t even remotely fooled. Not even “I know what’s happening here” but “Oh - that looks like something being pulled out of a tube.” Maybe just me.
