#7, I'm pretty certain that's the Tin Man's ax that he's had all through the film. He probably had it hidden in the coat, he certainly wasn't going to leave it behind.

I noticed the window right away. Surprised his eagle eye didn't spot that. You can easily see, during the storm, that they're on hinges, and open out.

You missed another one in the scene where Dorothy and the Scarecrow meet the Tin Man. In one shot, Dorothy's wearing regular shoes instead of ruby slippers.

I was just a child when I saw this movie for the first time. 9 or 10, I don't remember, but I loved it so much! The witch scared the life out of me, haha. Now I love that wicked old witch!

You will not get perfection. No such thing. Even with a great, famous musical like The Wizard of Oz. Even though you found these small, can be over seen mistakes, it's still a great movie. And one of my favorites! :) :)

I do want to mention Dorothy's hair changes lengths because they reshot some scenes later when her hair grew but didn't notice

3 more: 1) "Witch's Castle" erroneously said "Witches Castle". Maybe we can debunk this by saying WW of East and West live together. 2) When it seems that Dorothy is rescued from witch a giant door slams on them. After a quick cut to the witch, we go back to our heroes and somehow Dorothy and Scarecrow have traded places. 3) When the witch sics her monkeys on our heroes she says that she sent an insect out ahead of them to take the fight out of them. Since the Jitterbug song was deleted, this line should been deleted too.

At the part of the movie when the Wicked Witch of the West is leaving from Munchkin Land. You can honestly see the fire start before she gets into her position like as she arrives.

Even though this movie had tons of mistakes as a child watching it or adults most of everything goes so fast with adrenaline that nobody notices. This was a great movie during the times despite the horror of what everyone was put thru to make it happen..

#1 isn't a mistake because when Dorothy was on the floor in her bedroom you could see the window was open and by the time she got back to the house during the tornado, her aunt or her uncle could have went in and closed it. And when Dorothy dropped the apple and had another one in her hand, before then when they were getting apples thrown at them and she went to go pick an apple up, she had her hand on two apples when she came across the Tin Man.

Biggest mistake is in main plot itself - there is still valid order for Toto to be "destroyed" at the end..... .

Naw. Ms. Gulch died from a bucket of water after being pulled up in the tornado. The sheriff, being released from her spell, tore up the order and gave her bicycle to Dorothy. Strangely enough, the bicycle tires had burned off. This was all implied since Ms. Gulch didn't show up at the end (though the sheriff should have).

Probably already been said but, the window panes are there. They are hinged and one of them is open when dog jumps in. It gets blown off hinges when tornado comes and the other just swings open.

What about the isosceles triangle thing said by Scarecrow? The sum of two sides of a RIGHT TRIANGLE equal the square root of the remaining side.

Yeah, he says the sum of the square of any two sides on a isosceles triangle equals the square of the remaining. It should say the sum of the square of the two legs is equal to the square of the hypotenuse on a right triangle.

In the black and white opening scene, when Dorothy squats and holds Toto, her dress has a grease stain or water mark. As she returns home, it’s gone.

Your very first "mistake is a mistake on your part. The freaking window is on the left and swings out of the frame on hinges. Windows were made that way cheaply and quickly. Then your second mistake is that you show the windows that were already there now closed because of the coming storm. Your 3rd mistake is not the same cast member. Notice the different FULL head of hair and not twist top. The one behind Dorothy has a receding hairline and the twist top. Also there were more than one of the little people dressed in green. The fourth mistake is great but the 5th had a reason. She drooped the apple to be able to use her hand to brush dirt and debris off the tin mans shoulder. Remember they just found him Then she gets rid of both in order to steady him. These things are natural you know. The third apple is the actual mistake. LOL The tin mans oil can and the basket are good catches, but as for the axe, you see them give the spears to the lion and then the tin man takes out his axe from under his smock. They are supposed to be undercover. Nice catch on the broken door though. So in the end you have lost several of your supposed mistakes.

in the farm scenes during the storm the chicken coop on the back stairs disappears after the family goes down into the storm celler when dorothy kicks the door

When the movie was made, people expected to see it once maybe twice at the theatre. They didn't know about videos and DVD's and even television in 1939. Therefore nobody caught the mistakes seeing it the first time.

The window was open. The glass is in panels that swing open. You can see the glass above the bed when Toto jumps in.

Why are people so butt hurt over this? It's suppose to be funny people, just because the creator is pointing out mistakes doesn't mean they don't like the movie! I love this movie, I grew up with it, yet I found it hilarious! The same goes for CinemaSins and Screen Junkies. Find a sense of humor, it's just a video, jeeze...

Haha, just noticed the first one with the window, it was wide open, then closed! Need to look closer, clearly Dorothy had CLOSED the window before it blew out. This is such a poor effort.

During the scene in which Wizard's balloon is taking off, Scarecrow moving places is the least mistake present. The biggest one is hard to see but it is there. If you look carefully right before the balloon starts taking off, you can very clearly see Tin Man untying the rope holding it down. Therefore, Tin Man was helping the balloon take off.
