You easily carried this show by yourself! So buoyant and fun. I also.like the way you edited the music at the end to swell underneath the ending. It was very graceful and made you feel less awkward at the end. Good job!

Since Harry was born 1980, he would be 11 in 1991, so that's probably why the intro to new universal land states you travel to ,1990s .

The ride takes place in after the Battle of Hogwarts 1998-1999 so. It's still in set in the 90's just like in the books

One theory I've found (that I like to agree with) says that yes, the movies are set in the same time as the books. The Order of the Phoenix would be set in 1995/1996, summer 1995 was a major drought year in the UK, so when they filmed that movie, the start of it shows yellow grass and a hot/dry summer...making it seem that that would have been what it was like in 1995.

The original films take place in the years they were released. There's a scene in film 5 I think where they're listening to the radio in the Gryffindor common room and the song playing was a popular song ("Boys Will Be Boys" by The Ordinary Boys) in the UK around the time of production. Also, the bridge destroyed at the start of film 6 is the 'Millennium Bridge' which wasn't opened until, you guessed it, the year 2000 lol 👍🏽 x

Harry was born in 1980. The books were set in 1991 to 1998. Opening of book 1 set in November 1981. Epilogue in book 7 set on September 1, 2017.

Oh and the movies are set in the 90’s. You can’t really tell but they are set at the same time as the books. Cars etc are time correct.

The new area looks amazing. I hope they keep the walk around characters they mentioned and not cut them like what happened in Galaxy’s Edge.

I would love to see a similar situation to Epcot International Cast Members where they hire French employees for the french areas in this park, would feel even more immersive! Overall so excited for this. More excited than anything in the past 5 years I think

I love it but I need more. I need a candy shop, a quick service or a restaurant, a small stage show. That’s what helps bring the magic alive in hogsmeade and diagon alley

I rewatched the fly over video they have on the Universal Orlando RU-vid page and that video makes the area seem much bigger than the announcement did, so I am not sure if there are still some surprises on the horizon.

There is literally a candy shop, a stage show and a quick service restaurant in this land 😂

Merci for the kind comment. I remember being on vacation in a small restaurant in Switzerland in 2007 and tried my best to pronounce the words in the menu. The waiter said my German pronunciation was much better than half of the international guests who eat there! I was very surprised to hear this considering Swiss-German is not easy to pronounce.

Good to hear you're ready to learn some French. Open your books a la page 12.. Place Cachee --- Plass (rhymes with A$$). Cash ay. means "hidden square or plaza" Les Galleries = Lay Gal Ree . make sure the l in galleries is a full L with tongue touching behind the teeth. All for today.

Not saying this is good or bad, but it seems Universal is willing to forgo the strict theming that Disney (unfortunately) placed on Galaxy's Edge, with the shops and shows from Fantastic Beasts and the ride based off the original series.

I need to know if they will have video in the ride with the actors. The actors are now double their age when they filmed these movies. Did they bring them back in or are we getting ai? Or more of the “hermione-ish”?
