4 minutes in and this feels like a 2018 rundown again. Please have these 3 on every week so the rest of the crew don't hold up the rundown like Dan, Dave, and Kevin. Also, I haven't seen Dave twist a narrative to be about him like that in years. It's unbelievable.

I think Caitlin Clark is getting the Tebow effect. ESPN running it into the ground, deservingly so for how good of a college player they both were. There is no reason to hate either of them besides how fucking good they are. CC will be around longer then Tebow was.

Except the wnba has always been physical. And they tend to play the number 1 pick extra aggressive every year. Candace parker was flat out getting into fights in 2008 during her rookie year. The hip check was extra but that was basically from the Draymond Green of the wnba.

It's so laughable listening to Diana Taurasi speak on this subject. She played in the era of STACKED UConn teams where Gino got all the best recruits and they basically won before the games were ever played. CC played on a B level team and almost won the championship twice on her own. That's a big part of the lure of her story, the underdog fighting against the empire teams that rule over women's college hoops and make it hard to take seriously because the competition is so lopsided. And I'm from CT originally, and watched the original teams for that very reason as they were rising against the behemoth of Pat Summit in Tennessee. UConn became what we all hated in that sense, and many of us stopped caring when those teams took over and turned the sport into a one sided affair that removed any drama from the journey. DT can wave her "championships" around all she likes, we all know how and why it played out the way it did. The deck is stacked in that sport, and the inevitable tendency for many humans to root on the little guy fighting against the odds is real...

To listen to other WNBA players, they state they all went through it. The more popular or talented the rookie is, the more they get hazed. Have we come to accept this treatment of first year players because it was okay in the past, it’s okay now? Do the referees accept this ritual and look away from the frequency or intent level of various fouls knowing it’s because they are rookies? Sooner or later hazing rituals go too far.
