Synthwave is the rarestusic genre in the world that you don't hear much of it on mainstream at all, due to the fact that they are an underground genre, everything about it is inspired by the nostalgic decade of the early 80s or just the 80s in general, synthwave back then was basically called synth pop, til the year 2010 we now have what we now call synthwave. Synthwave became popular due to the fact that when the movie drive came out with a banger synth beat from kavinsky peoples were into it, especially when far cry: the blood dragon game from the far cry series had loads and load of synthwave music into it, that is when the birth of the new synth genre was born and skyrocket, but like I said, it never went mainstream and that's okay, because many fans prefer the genre to be unique and underground as it can get.

The funny thing is the song isn’t about Jason Voorhees, it’s about those Jason type characters in 80s films that were always jerky jock types. It’s amazing how well it fits with Jason Voorhees though.
