Get to know the legacy of Hisako Koyama, whose drawings of the sun’s surface helped scientists reconstruct 400 years of sunspot activity.
--
In 1944, amateur astronomer Hisako Koyama’s latest endeavor was sketching the sun’s shifting surface. She spent weeks angling her telescope towards the sun and tracking every change she saw with drawings. Little did she know, these drawings were the start of one of the most important records of solar activity in human history. Alex Gendler details the incredible legacy of Koyama's work.

And that's what ppl nowadays need to know. Academic degree doesn't mean that person is smart. It's just a proof that person graduated from a university. Smart people are smart whether they got academic degree or not. At about 1:20 or so, you said that 2 oxygen molecules get fused to form helium. That's not possible for at least a few reasons. One, molecules don't fuse, nuclei do. Two, fusing two oxygen nuclei together simply can't produce helium, they're to heavy. Three, the sun's core simply not hot enough. But do you know what it is hot enough to fuse? Two hydrogen nuclei into helium. Cheers!

Thats more realistic scientific work. Everyone imagine some big events happening, while most of the time is just pure grind every day, day in, day out, just like a regular job.

The more people who point out the error, the more likely it is they'll realize their mistake and correct it. Not sure why there's so much sarcasm/animosity towards the comments pointing it out.
@Baalaaxa
@Baalaaxa 3 года назад
Or you could just thumb up the previous comment that already corrected the error, giving it more visibility. Instead of everyone just spamming the whole comment section with "I FOUND AN ERROR!" over and over again. Besides, they already notified they are aware and will fix it.
