Since you like books set in Australia, have you checked out the Stella Prize long list? It just came out and is more or less the women's prize for Australian authors.

I’ve read none of these 😳 , but The Wren The Wren, Enter Ghost & Soldier Sailor were already on my TBR and I added a few more from the list

I haven’t read any of these, but I had already borrowed The Wren The Wren, Western Lane, and And Then She Fell before the list was announced. I’ll definitely be trying those three and Nightbloom too.

I'm looking forward to reading lots of these. I haven't read any of them but I have heard of 3 of them. One of which I started but quickly DNF'ed. I read 2 from last year's list and really enjoyed both of them. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the ones you choose to pick up, Alice ☺

I read Soldier Sailor before the list was announced and loved it. I'm currently reading River East, River West and enjoying it. The blue, beautiful world was a dnf for me. I couldn't get into it. I've heard that it's part of a series and did feel there were things that I had missed. I'll be surprised if it makes the shortlist.

I wonder if you read the previous books in the series? The first book is The Best of All Possible Worlds, and I think they're meant to be part of a loosely tied series but still make more sense read in order.

This is the first year since I've been following this prize that none of the books really sound interesting to me.
