The thing about The Wonderful 101 is that it is the best kind of entertainment - it is a tale of determination, heroism, self-respect and very adult message of hope and goodwill that is not afraid to look silly, clownish, foolish to sugarcoat all of that underneath. It has my ultimate respect for that.
@@Buddhabebop *”FINAL ULTIMATE LEGENDARY EARTH POWER SUPER MAX JUSTICE FUTURE MIRACLE DREAM BEAUTIFUL GALAXY BIG BANG LITTLE BANG SUNRISE STARLIGHT INFINITE FABULOUS TOTALLY FINAL WONDERFUL ARROOOOOOW… FIREEEE !!!”* Every single consecutive word a tribute to a positive connotation, every single sound uttered in existential opposition to overwhelming darkness, horror and evil, with it’s entirety delivered with such a powerful tone that all of the filth gets wiped out clean from a human soul. The best thing ever made, the miracle that makes me, an atheist, believe in some kind of higher power that is, in fact, good and beautiful to the core of its being. Because there is the clear proof ! Good incarnate. Stay Wonderful, you Wonderful One ! 👍
@@viewtiful1doubleokamihand253 the best media is that which is not merely not cynical but positively anticynical and boisterous about it too. this is why gurren lagann is the greatest media ever created by our species-- i do not stutter nor say that with a shred of irony it is with this overpowering of cynicism that we shall persevere in the face of adversity: ours is the drill with which we shall create the heavens!
Another underrated Wii-U game. The sound track to this game was sensational and this track just makes you smile whilst sounding comic book epic in every way, love it!
I have never played this game. I know it from Jacob Geller's video "Games That Save The Best For Last". So it speaks volumes for the quality of this music (and the severity of my neurodivergence) that every time I rewatch that video I feel the need to listen to this on repeat for about 20 minutes straight.

Nesto Navalo I’m really hoping for a character from this game in Smash Ultimate. I can already imagine the fighter now. You can Switch which Unite Morph you want to use, similar to Pokemon Trainer and Shulks Monado Arts. A Wonderful One seems like the perfect fighter candidate.
The attack call out used in the middle of the song remind me of something like Let's Go Rider Kick with "Rider jump!" "Rider Kick!" Though the game itself has a serious Toku feel
Well, I think there’s a chance for Smash Ultimate. I can already imagine the fighter. Each special move is a different unite morph and the final Smash is either that big (long name) laser, or one of their Platinum related attacks.
I remember watching the trailer of this game when it was about to drop i played a demo and thought it was ok..but this song catchy af randomly was in my head the past 3 days til i finally looked it up just a minute ago..this grown man doesn't regret it
I hope the Wonderful 101 go from trophies to full fledged fighters in Smash Ultimate. The thought of beating the shit outta nerds to this music gets me hyped.
And each special attack is a different unite morph, or you can switch which one you want to use similar to Pokemon Trainer or Shulk and his Monado Arts.
I would have loved to see them in a Smash Bros. game. I can just imagine the trailer. Master Hand: [beats the crap out of various characters, goes to finish off Mario via flying punch] Mario: [panics and ducks] [screen goes black] *_"UNITE HAND!!"_* Master Hand: [gets *Wonder Punched* over the horizon] Mario: [looks up, finds himself standing behind 2 superheroes, wearing red and blue respectively, with 98 other masked superheroes behind him] Wonder Red: Team! Unite up! *_[THE WONDERFUL 100 ENTER THE FRAY!]_*
The Wonderful One-Double-O Joins in ! No wonder they weren't included as playable characters. It's amazingly hard to represent their fighting style. This is not as simple as Olimar's "pluck-and-throw" stuff.
And they would work very well. It’d be like Pyra/Mythra where you can switch between each Unite form. Only question is what would their final smash be? Could be the big laser in the finale, but there are so many other options that would work just as well.
@@scottvgamer1163 If they wanted to cheese it, they could just make them custom Mii Fighters. Red as a Brawler, Blue as a Swordfighter, and Green as a Gunner.
@@WillRennar never considered that. If actual separate fighters are out of the question, that’s the next best option (it’d be even better if having the costumes on gives each Mii the voice of the character for extra immersion).
This game is the reason I bought a Switch. Every time I hear this song it reignites the flames of my soul. Stay strong everyone, for others and for yourself.
Always good to see this game reigniting the spark of goodness in people. Wherever you are, whatever ails you, wonderful one. Push the darkness back and be the best image of yourself. Unite up !
As epic and delightful as this music is, I will never be able to help chuckling a little when I hear "They can do iiiit~!"…See, my experience with this game has been via NaiNebel on Twitch, who just finished his playthrough, and in the very first stream, obviously, this song plays at the start of the game, and that line played as he was trying and failing to form a bridge between two bus cars for the first time. I immediately commented, "'They can do iiiit~!', the song says as he fails to do it. XD ", and that's more explanation than I think anyone needed. XD Also, SORELY underrated game! Could have used a sequel, some more closure could have been had I think…but, good for what it is just the same. One might even call it "wonderful".
If I had a nickel for every time a new IP from a seasoned developer featuring an international team of eccentric heroes who use their unique skills to thwart an alien invasion who also have a theme song with lyrics extoling the virtue's of it's titular team released exclusivley on a nintendo platform and was criminally underrated on system with dozens of other fantatistic games, i'd have two nicklels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird it happended twice in th span of like three years.
More then that ! This little game beats The Last of Us 2 in terms of being EXACTLY the thing the world needs in this miserable year of 2020 ! It's filled with so much positivity, hope, optimism and unstained idealism, is about being united in the eyes of danger ! *THIS is the game deserves to steal the Game of The Year prize this year !* Seriously, it's so great we could've made an exception for not making remasters as GOTYs. It's simply perfect, I absolutely love it :)
A lot of openings for old 70's Japanese hero shows call out the attacks, like Mazinger Z and Kamen Rider. In fact, God Hand's ending sounds a lot like the Mazinger Z opening.
