The caves of Aggtelek is a UNESCO World Heritage site consisting of 712 caves. The total length of this cave is 21 km with approximately one fourth of that on the Slovak side and the rest in the Hungary. The cave was inhabited as far as 5000 BC and from 1920 it serves as a tourist attraction. Visiting these caves is absolutely worthwhile.
