The writers smoke all the drugs and I LOVE IT.

Legends is hands down my favorite show to watch each week. I adore it's absurd humor, it's queerness, and its touching moments too. I'm so glad they have embraced their role as the ridiculous Arrowverse show. It suits them so well.

Best moment of Season 4 is Charlie being blatantly unconvinced that Zari is straight.

About the title. Actually, Rip lies to them at first. He tells them that he chose them because in the future they are remembered as legends. After they realise that he has a tendency to lie to them and hide information from them to get them to do dubious stuff, they don't believe him anymore and call him out on his bull. And THEN he confesses the truth about them not being important at all. That's the moment they choose to try to become heroes and future legends, beacause they want to live meaningful lives, and at the time they're all kind of lost in life in different ways. What I love about this show is that it doesn't take the world that the characters exist in very seriously, but it DOES take the characters themselves and their feelings and relationships VERY seriously. That's why it can pull off being as silly as it is, bacause the characters ground the stories in reality. They're all well rounded individuals that relate to eachother in varied and real ways. You just fall in love with these characters because they are so lovable and relatable. They are deeply flawed messes, but they know it and they love eachother without shame. Despite them calling themselves Legends, there's no superiority and no pretense of being perfect superheroes. They just do the best they can, and when they succeed, it's because they have eachother's backs and choose to do the right thing every time.

Season 1 is the only season of this series that I haven't cared for. I didn't like the Savage/Khufu/Chay-Ara storyline, but in and since season 2, the show's gotten much better as far as the plot is concerned. However; there is one thing I miss about season 1; Earth-1 Snart. In the shared multiverse, he's one of my top favorite characters.

Sooo my decision to stop watching Legends because it got to gritty in season two was wrong. Good to know ;)

That hellhound in the latest episode was really cool. I also think they have one of the best iterations of Constantine in non-comic media I've seen.

You should be watching Doom Patrol on DC Universe. Its similar in that they eschew gritty realism for absurdity and character development. One episode in particular includes a magical, sentient, gender queer, street named Danny. Its arguably the best show on television/streaming platforms right now.

For anyone wanting to get into Legends I would recommend starting with season 2. There's a pretty good recap of s1 so you shouldn't be lost but can get right into the weirdness!

I love this show. It somehow became the best show in the arrowverse. I really hope this team appears again and finds life in the comics. The Legends have potential to be a very iconic team.

IT'S RENEWED FOR A 5TH SEASON?? With Arrow ending, I heard Rumors that Legends might be out, too. And it seemed like the show was aware of it, too, with all the meta jokes they make in Season 4. So glad to know it will be returning.

I believe sometime in Season 2 or 3, the Legends (or Legends writers) began following an unwritten rule to have the crew stay "in-sync" with each others' timelines relative to one another. This is why even though they time travel to all sorts of different time periods and split up regularly, they still have to resolve their issues in the time it takes for those issues to run their course. (TV Tropes calls it "San Dimas Time," I think.) In-universe, it prevents the Legends from trying to abuse their time machines to create infinite time in which to solve their problems, as well as keeping the more hard-working members from aging faster than their teammates. Out-of-universe, it retains a sense of urgency to each episode's conflict and keeps the task of keeping track of everyone's location/time period much simpler. I don't think this rule is laid out in the canon of the show anywhere, it's just something I think I'm seeing, but I also don't think the show would really work without it. And like any Legends rule, it only gets broken when a) things are desperate or b) if it would be really funny.

Thank you for making this video. I've always wanted somebody to talk about this show in this way, and this video certainly didn't disappoint. Everybody I know glosses over this show because the first season turned them off, and I keep telling them to give it another chance, and they don't! Daredevil, Doom Patrol, and Legends are the best superhero shows ever made (In my opinion).

Surprised when bringing up Doctor Who you didn't bring up Arthur Darvill being in both shows. :P Definitely like your point that we don't always need dark and gritty stuff. I mean, I mainly watch animated shows geared towards kids because I do like to have that lightness and fun in my life. And while I don't watch the show, you definitely make a solid case for it.

As much as I enjoy LOT, Mona is the first character on it that I actively dislike (turning her into a were-beast didn't help); she is so annoying, seems to get in everyone's way and disrupts the flow of the show when she is onscreen. I think last week's episode was the first time she actually contributed something useful to the episode's plot.

Regardless of story, I've always found Legends to be the Funnest

This, along with Brooklyn Nine Nine, is easily my favourite show to air at the moment. There was a slight dip in quality with Seasons 1 and 4 but mostly it's been pure off the wall goofiness paired with dark moments to create something genuinely fantastic

I would recommend people start with season 3 for the goofiness, and then move back towards earlier seasons for character development. Although, I seem to be one of the only ones to thoroughly enjoy season 1 along with 3 and 4!

So i have a question: would there ever be a review of Arrow/The Flash/Supergirl crossovers??? Some of the actors are actually from Canada, where I live and it’s super amazing to watch all the “actor crossovers” that come with Canadian TV. What i mean by that is, one actor plays a character in one show, and then two shows later the same actor shows up, but as a different character

are you going to address how "supergirl" has a wonderful trans superhero that is played by a trans actress? they did what youve been asking them to do! It has a strong trans woman that is also a superhero! At the end of the recent series she makes a statement on the news that is the absolute best representation that i have ever seen for trans women. she touches on how it is our gift to the world to share our authentic selves. It is so beautiful it made me cry!

Great video, but the show does kind of try to explain the urgency to fix the Anchronisms. They mentioned several times that the Anachronism/Aberrations take some amount of real time (in the temporal zone) until it cements permanantly into a part of the timeline. From that point on, there's nothing you can do to fix it without causing damage to the timeline.

I watched season one of legends and loved how ridiculous it was. This all seems like early seasons of doctor who. After season 4 it all got so dark and not so fun and ridiculous like the early seasons which had evil sentient fat. I love this video. I think I should get back into legends!

Adding to the queer characters, I think both Zarie and Charlie are LGBT. Charlie hasn't stated it, but I just get that vibe from her, and she asked Zari a few episodes ago if she was straight and she didn't answer, so I'm guessing she isn't. Also many cast members are LGBT as well
