Onw of the best things about this song is that it actually sounds like it could have come from 1964. So many "period songs" made for movies just do not sound appropriate to the era, but this one nailed it perfectly. And in keeping with a joke tradition of not giving the bass player a name in movies, he is credited simply as "TB Player".

Unfortunately, the way in which he did it, seems to be fairly typical fare in the music industry. People will face their Maker soon, and have to explain themselves for these evils, and many others ... And BTW: Clark did not play on the recordings, because he was in the control room, producing all of it ...
Anyone who grew up in the 60’s and was in a band either then or later can relate to this story in so many ways . After I saw it the first time ; I cried my eyes out .
In one year this movie will be a quarter of a century old. This epitomizes my life as a kid in the 90s with good movies that just don't have the same charm as they once were.
A quarter of a century is so much "longer" than 25 years, just like a "A quarter of a million dollars" is so much "more" than $250,000. We must always sensationalize.
This movie, set in 1965 is so very phenomenally true to the time. This song WOULD have been a big hit- and so would the band. That was my first year in college, not long after the Beatles shook the music world to the core. Tom Hanks and all these actors.....off the charts great!!

Reassistam ao filme!!!! É incrível que essa música "é fictícia", criada apenas para ser cantada por uma "banda fictícia" no filme. Digo fictícia porque só existem no filme, e entre aspas porque se existiram no filme, de fato existiram. Lembrando que o filme foi idealizado, escrito(roteiro) e dirigido pelo grande Tom Hanks!!!! Ele ainda atuou e participou da criação de toda a trilha sonora do filme (todas as músicas foram criadas para filme!). Tom Hanks é um gênio!!!

This is just a fun little movie. I fell in love with this movie after I first saw it many years ago. It really cheers me up. And I absolutely love the main song. It always randomly pops up in my head sometimes. Such a great film. Tom Hanks was great as usual.
One of my Favorite movies! It has a KILLER soundtrack,also. I was the lead singer of a band like this that had moderate Worldwide success until a Lawsuit derailed our momentum. I had a Blast and performed with the greatest bunch of musicians and shared the stage with many big names. Time sure does Fly By! Mitch.
I love the detail: the movie has setting in 1964 in the fictional world where there is no The Beatles, so the drummer uses traditional grip for his left drumstick, rather than matched grip popularized by Ringo Starr.

I watched this movie so long ago on tv..in 2003 as a 12-13 year old with my big sister and I just loved it and still remember it. The ending was perfect..especially regarding Liv Tyler's character ending up with the right guy. And this song was awesome.

@BlamTime provavelmente vc viu na sessão da tarde da globo que foi onde eu assisti tbm. Desde então de tempos em tempos sempre volto e escuto essa música. Ela tem uma vibe tão boa que sempre me sinto melhor quanto termino de ouvir. hehe
