I decided to use what imagery I could think of off the top of my mind that to me perfectly describes the fateful meeting and the words exchanged between the Dark Lord Morgoth Bauglir and Húrin the Steadfast, Lord of Dor-Lomin. Taken from J. R. R. Tolkien's masterwork, The Children of Húrin, Chapter 3: The Words of Húrin and Morgoth.
Honestly, after re-reading the book and re-watching some moments of the important events leading up to the Eclipse and some more thinking about the stories of both The Children of Húrin and the Golden Age Arc from Berserk, and everything that all led the events in each story, I found they both seem very similar to each other.
In both stories, there is a supernatural force that is secretly and subtly influencing the outcome of each story, in the case of Berserk it is the Egg of the King and the Causality of the Godhand, and in the case of other story, it is the Curse that Morgoth places upon Húrin and his family. I won't spoil it just in case for anyone watching who doesn't know the ending to each story, but both of these factors that play in to both stories results in the tragic tale of Húrin and Morwen and their remaining children, Túrin and Nienor, and the apocalyptic event known as the Eclipse in Berserk's case for the Band of the Hawk. And in the case of each protagonists of the story, Túrin, Morwen, Guts and Griffith, they each make specific decisions, whether out of pride or anger, that eventually lead to mistakes that make their situations worse than they had actually intended.
Sometimes, the road to darkness is paid with the best intentions.
Just hearing the voice of Christopher Lee speaking over footage of Void gives a very different feel to the character.
The audio is from the narration of the book The Children of Húrin (Narn i Hîn Húrin) from the audiobook read by Sir Christopher Lee. I do not take credit for any of the footage of artwork or audio featured in this video this is purely for entertainment purposes only.
