I still can't fathom how they can be affordable, along with the land and time it takes to grow stuff, when the end product (bread etc) is so cheap... How much do you get for a full trailer of wheat like that one in the video?! I guess it must be low tens of thousands of pounds, to justify all it takes to produce it, but still sell a loaf of bread for under £1? All the equipment you use must take years and years to pay for itself! I hope they come with good warranties...
Completely agree! Watching these massive machines in action is really impressive, but it’s hard to grasp how they manage the production costs when the final product is so cheap. Amazing, Tom. I loved watching the ballet of the big combines and how they staggered themselves along the rows. Big respect also to the trailer drivers who always seem to be in just the right place, too. Thanks for making and sharing. A real treat!
What a size of machine, and two of them!! That’s a lot of money rolling about that field, this is when economy of scale comes into play. Brilliant to see, and in Britain too. All the best Tom.
Nice outfit but as a baler operator 4x around the headlands would drive me mad, bad enough bouncing over a headland tramline let alone however many landwork ones too haaa. Cracking video Tom

Now we're filming big tom lamb! Such majestic footage of the harvest, you're getting good on the drone as well.. did your arse nearly fall out when you just missed the power lines? I'm from farming stock, work in construction now, but don't half miss harvest time.. not glorified gardeners growing crops, proper farming with cows and sheep! Anyway, rattle off the harvest and go get the Furzes sub terrainian garage dug out. Love the content big Tom.. keep up the "claas" worl😂

Claas work once again Tom!!! Not sure if you have done a video before or not, but would love a little indepth video on how the GPS system works and how you map out your fields etc etc
Always find it amusing that the Claas engineers have have designed that beast from top to bottom, until they got to the very back then thought 'Sod it' and just attached a half extension ladder to back. Not even bothered to paint it to match the rest of the combine either.
When combine harvesting, does it matter whether go in parallel with the rows vs perpendicular? (You mainly go parallel in your vids, but on occasion it's perpendicular.)
Are you using machine sync with your grain carts. I love pulling up to the combine and letting the combine take control of my tractor while loading. I for years had to keep a perfect distance and speed with the combine always trying to stay ahead of the next move. And after hours and hours in the tractor especially when it got dark trying to maintain a correct distance and speed could get worrisome. Now just push a button when close enough and the combine takes over. We grow lots of corn and soybeans where I live.
Very cool. You should try to fade out the music and fade to black at the end of the next one. It might make the ending less abrupt. Definitely want to see more!
Great video Tom but I thought you were going to crash when you were flying towards the combine then went round it. First when you pulled round there was a tractor coming towards you then you pulled up a came so close to the electric cables 😂. Good control Tom! 😂😂
Absolutely fantastic footage Tom, least in the future if you get to the point in your life you need a change Videos is the answer. But i doubt you could leave farming as we can all see how passionate you are about it 😊😊
Great video Tom, as always your drone produces well. Dont they load back to front anymore? Thats how i learnt when i was younger, and whats the header size Tom? Are they around 30ft ish ? ❤
