LeBron can be seen tweeting about us and repping our merch from time to time, he a mad casual obviously but he doing his best. Steve Kerr came and visited us not long ago, and he adores our manager (the whole of the Soccer world does to, Jurgen Klopp, he’s amazing) We wear Red, like your Bulls. (European competition is like our NBA playoff/finals for all the best teams in Europe, knockout soccer) We have American owners, but they’re about to sell us, the two people that are supposedly front runners to buy us are both NBA team owners already. We are not the biggest team in terms of money, but we are the only team in the whole league who have been competing with the oil rich money clubs (the bad guys). We are lots of fun, we’ve won a game 9-0 this season. 7-1 too. But right now we are in a bit of a rebuild of being a super team (we’ve been top 3 best team in the world for the past 5 years), and it’s going to be pretty fun as we are still capable of doing pretty much anything. Hey all, hopefully shedding some basic info on soccer/football positions can help someone understand a little more: The team consist of 11 players, and they can be split between goalkeeper, defender, midfield and forward. - Goalkeeper (GK): Only player capable of using his hands to prevent the ball entering the net, also known as the goal. - Defense: Usually, defense consists between 3 to 5 players depending on what formation the team uses. As a standard you have 2 fullbacks (incharge of protecting the central defenders and provide assistance to the other wing players on the pitch) and 2 or 3 central defenders (CB) that are incharge of protecting the goalkeeper from facing a forward. - Midfield: The midfield can consist of multiple positions and is usually the most complex area, due to it being the core of the team. The main divided positions are defensive midfield (CDM) (usually more orientated to help the defense and more specifically the centrebacks) central midfield (CM) (mostly incharge of pulling the strings between the offense and defense) and attacking midfielders (CAM) (these can be more like forwards and contribute to score/assist for the team) - Forward: These are the main offensive threats of the team, they can have anywhere between 1 and 4 players. The main focal point is the striker (ST), incharged to score the most amount of goals. You also have your wingers, who are the most skillful and fastest players on the team (think like a WR for a football team). These are incharge of not only breaking the line of defense and help the striker score goals, but cause space for other players to exploit. Sorry for it being a long comment, but this would be a general look into positions, the more people join the enjoyment of the sport the better :)

best way to get into football IMO is pick a premier league club and keep up with them. if you watch a whole season you get a pretty good idea of the way the league works and the "personalities" of all the teams. and usually, only like 2 games a week! lots of prem players at the world cup so if you like any of them a lot then support their team! it's cool to shop around until you find a team you really connect with, but once you do that do not change teams, especially for a rival. football fans are very serious about rivalries. there's a lot of great football content on youtube too! both tactical and "story" stuff (tifo football is a personal favourite for both). the bundesliga is also a really great league to get into (IMO!) if you don't care about the prem.

If i was you Kenny i would deffo get really invested into the premier league as it one of the most competitive leagues and it is in english. Pick a team you like personally im rooting for the gunners (Arsenal). The sport is amazing its way different than basketball but like the off (court) pitch drama is kinda the same like bball, politics all of those juicy stuff to get us invested and talk about. Then you have the creme de la creme the Champions League its like the world cup but just for the best EU teams from different leagues and u got the G league version the Europa league. So much to unravel deffo a fun sport to learn about.
