2030 is not that far away, however building these cities require investing both time and money to create them, I like to create contents on them. Personally, I believe that these cities are built either to attract people attention and give them hope or to attract the media to these kind of projects. I see now you didn't mention USA future smart city (Telosa).

Henry, all these look beautiful and very glitzy. However, the real problem is with us, the way we are and the way we treat each other. These projects may work well in some countries, but not in others. Will everyone have the same chance and opportunity? I doubt it very much. They'll move in the ones who can afford the new houses and apartments, but the poor will stay behind and destitute. Corrupt officials will pocket most of the money invested. For any of these to work, we need a new mentality and a new sense of community. Otherwise it'll be same old same old.

This is a good example of what can be drawn on a computer that is not able to be built. Look into what it took to build the Sydney Opera House....... These amazingly difficult and expensive buildings are not practical on a large scale. One or two...maybe. As a solution to something....no. As for the floating city, where does the water, power, and sewage go? Do you hook them up to flexible conduits like an RV park? With the authoritarian governments we are allowing to flourish we are more likely to be living in rusted out shipping containers or huts than nice clean modern buildings .

This wont be in our lifetime. Maybe another 100-200 years. Buildings and infrastructure havent changed all that much since even the 1900s. This type of technology and infrastructure will require far more time and resources. Projects always require more time than projected.
