This drummer is in the perfect genre, hes going hard.

When he sings "when will I see you again" it brings me to tears every time

Am I the only one that enjoyed the spoken word part? Gave me chills along with the intro.

I have a lot of respect for these guys for the simple reason that they are unapologetically themselves. That takes guts.

I'm sorry but every time this guy talks it reminds me of that Tim and Eric bit where the two guys wearing turtlenecks talk about the universe. I'm just always anticipating for the guy to start talking about throwing stars in hot dog buns.

There's something beautiful in it's blackness, isn't there? Something beautiful in it's persistence. It's swallowing us all. The end. The end of everything is the beginning of a brand new everything. The end of this universe. May mark the beginning of a brand new one. So that even now, when my heart... When my heart feels like the most congested intersection. The world.... the world that is awaited . I reconsider the precipice. And so in an effort to take part in reckless acts of self definition... I jump. And I'd ask you to join me. As we fall, let that beautiful blackness take us into it's arms. I know that I will be safe in them. I knew that we, you and I, will be safe in it's embrace.

I honestly had mixed feelings about the spoken word parts, thinking that they were cheesey, but I found myself relating to it a lot, especially the bit about praying.

I love this! The spoken word part is beautiful.

Their drummer is sublime.

The intro was beautiful, and reminded me of my own thoughts as a younger man. But now I feel like it's little more than whistling in the dark with sentimentality. In terms of songs, ZAO's "Everything You Love Will Soon Fly Away" is much more honest about the nature of what the singer is talking about. If there is no God, there is nothing. For me, this hopelessness was a step to me coming to search for God, and ultimately finding life in Christ-- to a radiant hope that will not fade. Anyways... I love the song, and wish everyone here peace and strength in whatever journey you're on.

These guys make me forget all the worry & hassle of life.

The spoken word stuff enhances the performance. sure we all love the post rock feel of everything but they wanted to fill that void with something even more creative which is this guys spoken word material. hes great at what he does and the band is great so stop arguing and enjoy the music they offer. remember they didnt have to put this up at all.

How have I never heard this before? The Spoken word part was amazing! It reminded me of La dispute, and it gave me the chills, I actually thought the guy with the main vocal line was weak compared to the rest of the song. Either way, I am now officially a fan!

You guys do know that the vocalist isn't really "new"? He sang lots of parts on Whenever, If Ever. Although I agree that it sounds strange to hear him sing the parts that the old vocalist did. David doing "Gig Life" is just not the same

It's funny. He was talking about not believing in anything, while sounding like a christian singer doing a random prayer right before they play Oceans.

I like the spoken word guy in this, but not so much in their live video for "Getting Sodas", and I think it's because he's at least not singing over them in this.
