Not sure why people but so much hate into this song. Yeah, its true that all world cup songs are cheerful and exciting but this one is special as in it explains how it feels to be on that pitch and fighting every minute through those 90 minutes and what it takes to be a champions. Instead of showing national pride, it shows the blood, sweat, and tears it takes to represent their country. It's motivational and many players can relate to this and for fand who watch their team fight for every goal in the qualifying stages
Most people dont have a problem with it being a world cup song. The problem is that is samples one of the best songs of all time, and butchers it with lazy, corporate lyrics and one of his worst flows to date
This song is different, instead of being cheerful and happy, it's sad it's vibe doesnt represent the classic world cup anthem, this song fits that feeling of stress and anxiety during a Game where your country plays or a final to decide the winner, those last minutes where a miracle could happen, or just a defeat for your country, thats how i feel with this song
I know that a lot of you don’t like this song and think it’s bad when compared to the 2010 and 2014 world cup songs, but I can tell you guys that after a few more years this will be the type of song that you will go to for the nostalgic vibes and talk about how beautiful this song is. I remember many people in the 2010 world cup were talking about how they hated waka waka as the world cup song. Today everyone loves it and are saying that it is the best world cup song of all time. Just give it a little more time and you will be saying that you love this song.
