This was an extraordinarily important edition of "The Papal Posse." Every Catholic who takes their faith seriously needs to see it. The Church is at a crossroads. Of biblical proportion, its survival hangs in the balance. As Father Murray stated, the Church's business is about the salvation of souls. It is clear that Pope Francis has lost this vision and is derelict in his duty.

In the "mercyland" of Francis the victims of sin don't matter. The only thing that matters is that everyone should avoid God's saving gift of guilt, which can be a burden but ultimately frees us. But to Francis, what is intrinsically evil must be redefined as not being evil so we can all delude ourselves we are sinless to obtain his false idea of mercy. Francis does not respect those with sufficient decency to recognize their transgressions against the divinely endowned natural law that exists to protect us from our evil selves. Francis views moral doctrines as murseum pieces for the mentally ill and has contempt for those with respect for objective moral truth. He is truly an anti-pope.

I became a Catholic based on the fact that the Roman Catholic Church was truly represented Christ and his precepts. If Pope Francis makes these doctrinal changes then we are no different than the 40 thousand other denominations, I wish that the Pope would stop watering down Christianity. I am praying for papal change, in any form it comes.

If it comes to it, our financial support will have to be redirected. If this leadership steps outside Christ's teaching, they forfeit their position, and the remnant of those loyal to Christ will have to elect a legitimate leader. Those with a similar conscience will be obliged to support them.

They are clearly non-Catholics masquerading as Catholics in the Vatican. The leadership in Vatican has lost the true faith! They are Protestants. The true Church will never fall, but it’s safe to say that it is weak at this point and can only be saved by God’s grace; and He will provide. This Great Apostasy was predicted in the Bible, so be not afraid. Fear only the Lord. Mortify your flesh. This world is fleeting. We are created eternal beings by God and we will never cease to exist. We will spend eternity in either heaven or hell. Francis is building his own church just like the Church of England. He is a Protestant. Either he converts or leaves and takes his flock with him. The Catholic Church will be triumphant in the end. The following appeared in The Spectator magazine. It is about the Church of England but it is noticeable that the same strategy seems to be being used in the Catholic Church. The Synod organisers say that the Synod on Synodality has nothing to do with doctrine. But they are pushing for things like same-sex blessings on the grounds of 'pastoral care'. Notice, also, that bit about 'listening and walking together'. Sound familiar? "In February, Synod approved blessings for gay couples, and the bishops suggested that the texts would be published in the summer, along with ‘pastoral guidance’ on homosexuality - which liberals hope will lift the ban on actively gay clergy. Now November is the due date for both. The evangelicals are crying foul, with some reason. In effect the blessings open the door to an approval of gay marriage, and the pastoral guidance is likely to mark a major shift on sexuality. And yet the matter was not voted on as a matter of doctrine - which would have required two-thirds majorities in all three houses of Synod, rather than simple majorities. The bishops seem to be trying to introduce major change on the sly, amid a barrage of warm words about listening and walking together, most of them dispensed by the former chief nurse, Sarah Mulally, bishop of London."

@plantsnrockies at one parish I was a member at,the priest drove a brand new BMW. It was a fairly poor parish and he even said in the homily that even those who are visiting the parish and not necessarily registered there are requiring to give to the collection basket. Both his car and the rectory were much nicer than 95% of what the parishioners in the parish could afford for themselves. I was so disgusted! That was the last time I went there. How can anyone take these clergy seriously who act and live like this? They have zero credibility!

One more campaign, one more promise of a new church! A return to communion rails, the holy Mass of the Latin rite, going BACK to communion on the tongue. We lack foundation, and tradition. The truth is that none of us can do anything about what Pope Francis is doing, nor about anything that the Cardinals elected by him are going to do with the Church. The only thing that we can do is to learn as best as we can our faith, to pass it down to our children, to live it as well as we can and to pray the Rosary so that "at the end, the Immaculate Heart will win."

Well said, Fr.Murray !! How come we do not get such detailed unpacking of the truth -legal, canonical, and its complete distortion by Modernists -anywhere else ( that I know of ) ?? Can good, and professional Laymen turf out these interlopers ?? "Francis" can NEVER be believed from here on out, NEVER, unless he verbally confesses [ which I can't as possible, or even probable given the deep rootedness of Liberation -Marxist -Theology] and does public penance.

I am shocked that Kamala Harris wasn't invited to the Synod on Synodality to explain it to Americans. She would fit right in and if she is out as VP for the next term Francis can easily find a spot for her at the Vatican. We would come away with tears and laughter and the synodality of synodalities would be compared to the story of the Tower of Babel.

What this "pope" does, means nothing to me! The heresy coming from this pontificate and the cardinals/bishops he's appointed tells the story. God will step in and stop this at some point. Repent and pray for God's Mercy!

I sure do have a question… we proclaim as Catholics the Eucharist is the sustenance of our existence as male and female God has made us.. now after each Mass of the Eucharist where all people come to worship and present themselves in humility with a contrite heart and soul to move away from sin and embrace the Truth as revealed to us; then why is it special interest groups like sane sex partnerships demand a separate and special blessing from the priest outside the Eucharist in Mass and the sacrament of Marriage? Who exactly are the periphery if not all of us who deep down in our soul seek the absolute Truth given to those who believe? I believe this asking for this blessing of same sex partnerships is another manipulated method of proclaiming love which clearly can defined as some emotional connection not necessarily fixed and expansive in our nature as male and female and our true identity in the ever expanding Cosmos of God. Why the special treatment for some special interest group who declares themselves special and unique and therefore need a special form of blessing.. does God pick favourites?? How can natural law no longer be objective in Truth and form as revealed by God..?? Same sex partnership blessing make no sense and are not anywhere in the Truth and reason of Faith..

Are we afraid of the Holy Spirit ? Many, many of us look forward to the coming Synod and a freshness in the way we read the evangelists and attempt to be Christlike, an ever ending journey from our Baptisms. "..forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespasses against us". Surely the Holy Spirit is daring us to further develop the sacramental church? Is exclusion Christ's way?

A fantastic representation of the Holy Church here and the correct teaching of Jesus. "Revelation", life "eternal Truth" remains, like God, constant. Glad you recognise the perversion of "human" as God created them and His unacceptable response, also confirmed in His Holy word.(Remembering the warming NOT to change His Holy Word or there would be serious repercussions, agreed?). "My" use of the term "human development" means our experience and realization of the Church's daily gifts left by Jesus, and through God's grace and with our use of these gifts, we/one, can humanly, experience "divine union" with God/Jesus: Sacramental Sacredness (Holiness): God:Divine Light:Divine Life:Happy Eternal life: Everlasting Joy: Eternal Goodness: and so on. Bishops, Cardinals and Laity at the Synod are called to re-consider subjects in light of the Words of Christ; in light of the Gospels. Any other consideration will continue to confuse people even more.
