The World Pipe Band Championships were back in 2022 after 2 full years out due to the covid19 global pandemic.
The sky's were blue, the temperature was 28 Degrees Celsius and the crowd were having just the best day!
This is the 70's Tribute Band

Wonderful music. Interesting how medleys have developed in scope, daring and tunefulness over the years but this is where it all started and I salute you all for this memorable display.

The one great thing about RU-vid is that it shows me all types of music and musicians. I have been watching videos of bag pipe music, marimba and an ancient stringed instrument from china for the last month. Just love the history and traditions of all this music. Thank you to this festival and group of musicians. Love the music. It really makes me feel the pride all of you have when you play. 🤣🤣🤣 And I'm Filipino. Maybe I was a Scott in another life time. Be blessed. San Diego says hello 🤗.

The one beautiful thing about this medley is the careful ordering of the tunes so each tune is distinct and there’s no blending/blurring

1000s were watching from behind the camera mate, stands were empty as they cost extra to get in I think

The worrying thing is that if there was thousands watching why was the applause at the start and end soo poor. Soo much work goes on behind the scenes especially for the competing bands but to not fill the seats and have a crowd so quite is really poor. Something needs to change.

@@flipthemindsetbykennymacka9840 The people who want to hear this are also the same people who are on the field warming up for their own competition. The stands might as well be free of charge except then that people would constantly be rushing in and out of them. What about a natural grassy amphitheater? Except, if it rains, then people are sliding all over in their Ghillie's. Other important people have commented on this subject. It is odd though, if you just turn the camera 90 degrees to the right you see a ton of fans tippy toeing to try and get earshot of their favorite bands. The stands do start filling up though as the day progresses.

SERIOUSLY😩 because I went in to to see the final 2007 and if you had a ticket you could go at anytime. 😀The attendance here for tribute BAND is a disgrace people should be ashamed of them selves couldnt take 6 or 7 out of their lives as these players took more out surely to provide This was a treat . 😀👏👏👏
