I'm a Republican from Dublin. Rangers done what Rangers should have done, respect their heritage, end of. I completely get it. Now with that said lets just all get along, these divisions are only a distraction from what's really important. Peace is what is important, and finding peace within yourself will shelve any hatred towards others you do not even know, because at the end of the day we are all spiritual beings having a human experience. I was only at one old form derby, got my tickets from Rangers fans who owed a bar in Glasgow and they could not have welcomed me more, lovely people., and so glad I had the experience of meeting genuine people who wanted to help me. I gave them a gift to acknowledge their kindness and they knew I was a Celtic fan. Then later I was nearly attacked by Rangers fans, I seen the both sides but hey we are all both sides good and bad so its important to ALWAYS focus on the good. The monarchies have committed terrible things in Ireland over the centuries, things Rangers fans would not understand or even be aware of unless it was visited upon their people but we live and learn, and forgive, and move on because we are all the same at the end of the day. PEACE OUT BROTHERS & SISTERS
If President Higgins died in office, I would expect Irish anthems in Irish stadiums just as much, and a president isn't a 70-year fixture like the queen was, either.
None of you guys are true Celtic men. For those from the free state congratulating The Rangers, Shane on you. What about the tyranny and oppression of your country by Lizzie and her family 🙄🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Celtic fan here I don't particularly like the British royals or agree with what they stand for. but respect dosent cost anything and she was someone's mother grandmother sister and friend and Queen so im glad rangers stuck to there beliefs on this matter and UEFA should have kept the nose out of it.
Im a rangers fan and honestly couldnt care less about the royal family. But I respect those who do care. Its sad that Celtic didnt offer any condolences. Even Hibs managed to find it in them to pay respect.
@@ewanofscotland What difference would it have made to have a football club offer condolences? When Pope John Paul 2 died Rangers refused to offer condolences, do you think that is sad?
wow wow wow that stadium the fans singing for thier queen well thats just damned fantastic even out here in the san fran CA knows a lot about this amazing soccer club guys you done your country real proud iam now a rangers fan for life god bless ya all
Robert, I have met many great Chelsea fans in my 40 years following Rangers. Great people who love there Club and Country. No Surrender mate and God Save the King.
I'm a Celtic fan from Republic Of IIreland and I fully support what Rangers done. Good on you and you deserve a round of applause at the next Old Firm. 💙 💚
Sell out bastard, no Celtic fan or anyone from the free state for that matter would ever condone a minutes applause for no members of the royal family 🙄🇮🇪🇮🇪
Much respect to rangers for defying EUFA and singing the national anthem. You made the whole of Britain proud 🇬🇧🏴👏👏👏👏👏 Simply the best. From England fans everywhere.
@@williamgoldsmith3796 no they were singing the british national anthem the english national anthem is land of hope and glory so your a little wiser today than you were yesterday and no fee involved.??
I was at the game and I must say it was a brilliant display we done what I think was right and if we get punished for it then that’s not right. She was our queen for a very long time and done a lot of good for the world so why shouldn’t we pay our respects 🔴⚪🔵🇬🇧Watp always 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Dons fan here. Our clubs have been fierce rivals over the years but I can’t help but admire the progress Rangers have made both on and off the field. Huge respect to Rangers and their fans. Keep moving forward. You are doing Scottish football proud.👍🏴😊
A lifelong Celtic Fan here. Congratulations to the Rangers Fans singing the National Anthem for the new King and in magnificently expressing their respect for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. I would like to take this opportunity to apologise unreservedly, for the despicable taunts and banners currently being voiced and displayed at Celtic games deriding the late Queen, may she rest in peace.
Cheers for your words mate.surely in this day in age we can put things into perspective on occasions like this.we have morons on both sides so again nice words.
Not because am rangers fan but rangers did the right thing playing national anthem… she is our queen and her picture hangs above our dressing room …. Mon the gers 🇬🇧
What's the reason they don't want National Anthem sung anyway? Is it supposed to be because its a European wide competition? Its a bit silly brvause they arent asking for it to be sung in the away matches only in the matches in the UK. If the King of Italy died i wouldn't have an issue with Napoli singing the Italian National Anthem at home.
What ever you believe in, believe in Elizabeth. An example of humility to all peoples of the world, and an inspiration for the generations to come. Forget who and what she was. A Monarch yes, but such a kind and gracious soul.
UEFA had no idea what type of club Rangers are, that shows people just how much UEFA knows about the clubs in their own competitions. Celebrating the life and passing of a Monarchy has nothing to do with UEFA whatsoever. Well done Rangers, standing up for what's right. 🔴⚪🔵
But all those people murdered in her reign in Kenya and Ireland deserved respect too.She had nothing to say about that. But she did have something to say about sanctions against apartheid South Africa.
@@gavinokeeffe6000 What people "murdered in... Ireland" are you talking about? If you're talking about the Northern Ireland, the victims of the troubles were predominantly from one community. The IRA were responsible for about two thirds of the murders on their own, not counting the other Republican terrorist groups. But, of course, facts would spoil your victim narrative. So I imagine you avoid them.
@@markchambers3833 Well those 1 million people in the famine which of course we know wasn't a famine by any definition. Then before that we have the 600,000 killed by Cromwell an his forces.Moving on we have the people murdered by the forces of the Crown in the era of the old IRA then moving onto the o es shot by the British army and Mi6 when colluding with the UVF.But hey let's not let facts get in the way of a good story.Youd do well to learn your history.
As an englishman I have respect and admiration for the scots and am proud of them and their heritage...and so to call them brothers......The 22nd of July 1706 was a good day
I'm not a Rangers fan, my die was cast back in 68, but what i am is a Proud Brit, proud of our history, traditions, and culture ! And where is the last bastion of Britishness, where it is still ok to fly the flag and sing the anthem without the Brit Bashing Brigade kicking off, IBROX of course! Huge respect to the Rangers fans for last night - You are my people, Thank you 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I'm a Celtic fan and I'm not a fan of the Royal Family per-se but I liked The Queen because she dedicated her life to her country and you can only admire that. I also happen to agree with Rangers about singing the National Anthem. This type of thing should not be up to UEFA. It's a local custom that they have no right to meddle in. In fact I think all UEFA member clubs should be getting the rules changed on this because it's UEFA thinking they can do what they like. Tell them to stick to football and leave the clubs to deal with local issues.
@@CollCrofter well considering Sturgeon and Salmond have both said they want to keep the queen even if we did gain independence, not that surprising is it 🙄
Whatever bullshit the snp say about how the English people look down on you. Believe me we don't. We respect Scotland and we wouldn't be where we are if we weren't all together.
Well done to the Rangers Fans and the club it was fantastic to see a club stand up for it rights and heritage. “God Bless the Queen and God Save the King”
@@williamgoldsmith3796 Actually I am Roman Catholic and Irish. There’s nothing wrong with congratulating Rangers fans and them showing their loyalty to their Queen or King . I am not against other religions or race. We are all different but instead of accepting others for their beliefs and race there are to many people out there who do not accept these differences and want to cause conflict instead of it.

Rangers did the right call, UEFA can't stop fans from putting up a Tifu tribute to the queen, and they can't stop the fans from Singing the national anthem, even if the stadium can't play it. UEFA can't do anything about it, they allowed the English clubs where ever they were at Half-time to observe a minute's silence during Europea League/Europa conference when the news broke out. Rangers were being respectful, while Celtic fans in Poland were being disrespectful despite the players wearing black armbands.
im a staunch scottish riival when it comes to England and Scotland games, but after watching this i am so proud to call you our family.Rangers you did us proud, rest in peace your majesty and god save the king
Best fans in the world and what a way to say goodbye to our beloved queen. Rest in peace your majesty your work is done after 70 years of loyal service. God save the king.
Best fans in the world? Eh no m8 I disagree, hate their own players one week then they love them again then it's back to hating them when they lose or draw, Fickle AF! True fans don't pick and choose when to love their players they love and support the team/players/manager ALL the time not just when the team wins!

I thought for most of the game Napoli played with 12 men yellow cards for the gers nothing for them until they started wasting time the tribute was pure dead brilliant God bless the queen and God save the king
The result was irrelevant to me after the anthem. That was more important than a football game. Although I get the impression the ref was instructed by UEFA to be a bell-end because Rangers defied them.
Rangers played like the rangers team from last season, we were toe to toe with Napoli untill sands red card, it's very hard for ANY club to compete with that Napoli team a man down, good effort rangers WATP 🇬🇧✊🏻
It was all about the performance for me mate win lose or draw, we got back to basics again and done well up until sands got red carded like you said which made the already hard task even harder but no complaints we had some good chances and never took them and as you know against teams of this calibre you have to take them 🔴⚪️🔵 🔴⚪️🔵 🔴⚪️🔵

I'm not a rangers fan but i felt proud of rangers and the anthem. Why did celtic allow some of those flags total disrespectful hope when the pope dies they get the same reaction from rangers
The comments. My god the comments. The small mindedness of Celtic fans will never cease to amaze me. Your all acrimonious to the core, I honestly believe that. You’d start and argument in an empty house. Have a word with yourselves. Just pay respects or don’t. You literally don’t have to show yourselves up as being so odiously uncultured at every opportunity

Remember when they tried to stop our national teams from wearing the poppy? Their memories are short, they forget they would all be speaking German now if it wasn't for the Brits.
Rangers football club and fans were always going to do this no matter what uefa said its in there blood as we lay our queen to final rest on Monday by her husband as a man born and bred in Northern Ireland where we love the monarch a loyalist some comes to mind Absent Friends the time has come to say goodbye but the Queen will never be forgotten ever RIP as a loyalist I wish Charles a long reign but hope in my lifetime William will be king then I can say God bless King William as it was in days gone by
