You know what else is the embodiment of Chaos? Jerod himself with those laughs while drumming, like in 0:50, 1:29 and 4:08. It fits so well that feels like he's giving into insanity and chaos while playing😍

Character: I can beat you.. In a drum battle! Jevil: I can do anything! * jevil gets ready * Drevil is rocking it Drevil: the beats revolving Drevil: Drums drums~
Jevil: Has A Really Good Battle Song Thats Really Fast And Sorta Difficult To Play. Jerod: I CAN PLAY ANYTHING. TIS BUT A SONG, SONG. TIS EASY TO PLAY, PLAY!
Get the cheapest kit or a drum pad and learn fundamentals (as always, use a metronome to practice so you stay perfectly in sync). If you aren't feeling drumming it isn't a huge investment and there's no shame in backing out. Step 1 is learning how to properly hold your sticks and hit pads (yes there's different ways to hold sticks and how heavy you hit: you need to be careful since you can hurt your wrists from improper stick technique) Step 2 is learning basic rhythms; left right left right, paradiddle etc. (Learning to read music helps here as well since having the sticking patterns in abook etc. Lets you read and plan lessons). Here is where you can add foot rhythms (bass and high hat) as well but trying simple beats in Step 1 is fine too. Step 2 is the hardest part since it'll always be relevant and will follow you on forever. It helps build muscle memory and those simple rhythms can evolve to more complex ones. Techniques such as bouncing sticks, rolls, rimshots, bellshots etc will follow as you progress here. Step 3 is cover a brain dead song like Sweet Home Alabama or Free Falling. Get it perfectly the same. You don't need to apply this rule later on with some fills since expression is a thing Rinse and Repeat (with slightly more complex songs each time)... Forever 😂😅 remember to warmup as well. Having a drum teacher helped me learn drumming but I do it as a hobby and am definitely not as good or as fast as Jarod who's done it far longer and harder than I. Keep your expectations. Can I do Megalovania? Yes I can :) but initially it was WAY to fast so I started by playing at half speed and gradually built up safely to play it. It still fucks me up tho 😅
This is an off beat question, but how do you mic your drums? I'm taking a recording class, and the current topic is miking drum sets and instruments. Some professional tips would be helpful if you have the time.
Unfortunately I think the audio of the music here is a little low, a bit of the mixing between Jerod and the song makes the drumming just a little overpowering. Still fantastic though!
